1. Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, on August 3, our forces inflicted heavy blows on the invading Turkish army in Hakkari. The details of the actions carried out within this scope are as following;
A disguised unit of the invading Turkish army positioned near the Herkî village in Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district has been put under the surveillance of our forces. This unit which was put under surveillance for some time was effectively hit in close range at 09.50 hours. One enemy soldier was killed in this action, and many soldiers were wounded. Following the action, the invading Turkish army indiscriminately bombed the area with howitzer and mortar shells.
At 10.15, our forces carried out an action against the soldiers carrying out the defence of the Şikerê Sipî hill in the Gelişim area of Şemzînan district. Two soldiers were killed in the action where the enemy positions and shelters were put under intense fire. Many soldiers fled the hill after the action.
At 22.10, a convoy of the invading Turkish army heading towards central Gever from the Wergenima outpost in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district was targeted by our forces in a sabotage action between Yekmala Jor and Zinya Sêvê villages. The Hedgehog-type armoured vehicle targeted in the convoy has been completely destroyed and 10 PÖH (Police Operations Members) inside the vehicle were killed.
2. Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, our forces continue actions against the operation launched in Çemê Karê area in Siirt’s Pervari district. Within this scope;
On August 3, at 16.00, our YJA Star forces targeted an enemy unit positioned on the Martyr Sorxwin hill. Four enemy soldiers were identified killed in this unit struck effectively on three arms. On August 4 (today), at 08.30, our YJA Star forces targeted the Martyr Sorxwin hill for the second time. One position was destroyed in this action where the enemy positions were intensively hit in close range, and two enemy soldiers were killed.
