Press Release
1. Within the scope of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş revolutionary campaign, our forces carried out actions against the occupying Turkish army in Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova), Şemzînan (Şemdinli) and Çelê (Çukurca) districts.
On August 7, at 13.50 hours, our forces organized an action against the guard house of Ceyhan outpost in Şemzinan. In the action, the number of dead and wounded enemy soldiers could not be determined.
On August 7, between 07.30 and 10.30, our forces organized actions against the occupying Turkish army soldiers deployed on the top of Elişêr hill in Gever. Our guerrillas targeted enemy positions and hit effectively here. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in the action could not be determined. After the action, the occupying Turkish army bombarded the area with howitzers and mortars.
On August 6, at 18.50, our forces carried out an action against the Gulman (Koprulu) outpost of Çelê district. Our forces targeted soldiers which were gathered around a transit vehicle, a kirpi-type armored vehicle, 2 fuel tankers and 1 ammunition truck. In the action, five soldiers were killed and four soldiers were wounded. As a result of the effective hits, transit vehicles and kirpi-type armored vehicle was destroyed and the fuel tankers and ammunition trucks were damaged. One day after the action, at 6:30, the occupying Turkish army removed bodies of dead and wounded soldiers from the outpost with ambulances and Sikorsky-type helicopters.
2. On August 6, our forces organized an action against the Nazimiye district battalion of Dersim. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action where enemy positions were shot in an effective manner.
On the same day at 21.45, 2 armored vehicles belonging to the occupying Turkish army in the Güneycik strait were the targets of our forces. One of the armored vehicles struck effectively was destroyed, and one soldier has been identified killed here.
3. On August 6, at 10:00, our forces carried out an action in the Yayladere area of Bingöl, targeting the soldiers of the occupying Turkish army which was carrying out ambush activity in the area. One soldier was killed and one soldier was wounded in the enemy unit that was shot at close range.
4. On August 7, at 18.00, attack-type 4 helicopters belonging to the occupying Turkish army carried out bombardment against the Xırabbajar, Mehmet Şirin, Gırê Tıro, Gırê Dindar, Martyr Amed and Martyr Yilmaz zones in the area of Çırav located in Sirnak's Mount Gabar. As a result of the bombings, a fire broke out in the field.
5. Between 18:00 and 21:30 on the 7th of August, the warplanes belonging to the occupying Turkish army bombed the Karker slopes of Xakurkê from the Medya Defense Zones, along with Kurê Mızgeftê, Evliya Strait, Evliya village surroundings and the Gostê mountain.
