Press Release
1. Within the scope of the Martyr Agiri and Martyr Piroz Revolutionary Campaign, on May 2 at 10.40 our forces carried out an assassination action against the invading Turkish army positioned on the Bayrak hill in the Barzan region of Southern Kurdistan. One enemy soldier was killed in this action.
2. On May 2, around 10.30, our forces carried out an action against the Hewriz outpost in the Martyr Mizgin area of Bitlis province. One enemy soldier has been identified killed in this action where the enemy’s positions were effectively hit.
3. Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, on April 29 at 13.00 our forces carried out an action against the occupying Turkish army positioned on the Doğan hill in the Segirke area of Şırnak province. One building wass completely burnt down and destroyed in this action where the enemy compound on the hill was put under intense fire. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action where many enemies were killed could not be determined.
Following the action, the occupying Turkish army, having received heavy blows, launched a comprehensive operation in the Benavyan area with the support of many cobra and attack-type helicopters. On the same day, around 14.00, the occupying Turkish army which tried to carry out setdowns on the Deriye Guhar area with Sikorsky-type helicopters were put under intense fire by our forces. Three of the Sikorsky helicopters which were targeted were effectively hit. The occupying Turkish army which was inflicted blows was forced to withdraw from the area without being able to land.
On April 30, at 17.00, our forces carried out an action against the operation units positioned in the Şikere Kera area. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in these enemy units which were effectively hit could not be determined. The operation was withdrawn without any results on May 2.
Once again, within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, on May 1 around 18.00, our forces carried out an assassination action against the invaders positioned on the Gıre Nivro zone connected to the Bespin outpost in the Silopi district of Şırnak province. One enemy soldier has been killed in this action. Following the action, the invading forces bombed the area with howitzer and mortar shells.
4. On April 30, our forces put under surveillance a disguised unit of the invading Turkish army near the village of Kalikundır in central Dersim. Within the scope of the Martyr Ozan and Martyr Roza Revolutionary Campaign launched in the arena, our forces carried out an action against this disguised unit on the same day at 19.00 hours. Eight enemy soldiers were killed in this enemy unit which was targeted in close range on four arms. Following the action, the invading forces carried away dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Sikorsky helicopters, and launched an operation in the Kalikundır, Paxali and Uzuntarla villages in the morning of May 1. The operation still continues.
