The operation launched by the occupying Turkish army to invade the Barzan region of South Kurdistan on September 27, has been extended on October 16 to target the Zap region from the Medya Defense Zones. Our guerrilla forces carried out effective actions in this operation aiming to invade, the occupying Turkish army has been inflicted heavy blows and the advance of the enemy has been stopped by our forces. Again, in the areas of Siirt and Bitlis, our forces carried out effective actions against the operations aiming to invade and inflicted heavy blows on the enemy. The details of the conflicts and guerrilla actions against enemy forces in the invasion operations where 26 enemy soldiers were identified killed is as following;
1. Within the scope of the second phase of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş revolutionary campaign, our forces carried out actions against the invasion operations in Hakkari's Çelê (Çukurca) district and the Barzan region.
On October 17, at 06.30, our forces carried out an action against an enemy unit on the Martyr Bager hill near the Koordine hill in Çelê. Five enemy soldiers were identified killed in this action where the positions on the hill were hit effectively in close range. After the action, the occupying forces bombed the area indiscriminately with howitzer and mortar shells.
On the same day, at 09.30, our forces carried out an action against the Girê outpost in Çelê. A fire has broke out in the outpost building as a result of the effective strikes against the building and its positions hit with 15 rockets. The number of dead and wounded enemy soldiers in these conflicts has not been determined. After the action, the outpost where there were the mobility of sikorsy-type helicopters, has indiscriminately bombed the surrounding areas with howitzer and mortar shells.
Again, on 13.30 the same day, our guerrillas carried out an action against an enemy unit at the Tepe Xwedê range in the Adılbeg area of the Barzan region. The number of dead and wounded enemies in this action where positions were effectively hit could not be determined. After the action, the occupying Turkish army bombed the surroundings of the Mamreşo hill and its surroundings with howitzer shells.
2. On October 15, at 11.20, a scorpion-type armoured vehicle heading towards the Zakite outpost from Serbesta outpost in Hakkari's Çelê district has been targeted and struck by our forces. The number of dead and wounded enemy soldiers in this action where the armoured vehicle was destroyed could not be determined.
After the action, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation on the Stuna hill and action area with the support of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). The occupying forces which intensively bombed the Stuna hill with howitzer and mortar shells on October 17, 14.30, attempted to head towards the hill. Our forces have put under intensive fire the enemy units trying to position on the hill on three arms. Nine enemy soldiers have been identified killed in the enemy units struck in close range, while one soldier has been wounded. During the same hours, our forces carried out a sabotage action against another enemy unit and the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined. Our forces have targeted three sikorsy-type helicopters attempting to carry out set-downs on the hill.
The invasion operation which received heavy blows has withdrawn from the area with the support of UAVs and warplanes on October 17.
3. On October 15, around 19.00, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation with the participation of the village guards from Kampa Dê and Soransar, against the Xumarok area of Hakkari's Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district. On October 16, the occupying forces have carried out searches in the villages of Meleyan, Helankê and Demanê. On the morning hours of the same day, an enemy unit trying to position on Tepê Sor has been targeted by our forces with a sabotage action. The number of dead and wounded enemy soldiers in this action could not be determined. The occupying forces which left the hill after the action have withdrawn from the area on October 17, around 17.00 hours.
4. Within the scope of the Martyr Azad Farqin and Martyr Jinda Özgür revolutionary campaign, our forces carried out actions against the occupying Turkish army in Siirt and Bitlis provinces. Within this scope;
On October 14, at 10.30, our forces have carried out a sabotage action against a transit vehicle of the occupying Turkish army heading towards the Şirvan district from a control point located in the Siirt-Şirvan and Perwari triangle. Eight soldiers have been killed in this action while seven soldiers were wounded. After the action, the occupying forces carried away their dead and wounded soldiers from the area with many armoured vehicles and ambulances. The occupying Turkish army, having received heavy blows, has launched an operation in the area. The operation which continued until October 16 has been forced to retreat without any results.
On October 16, around 14.30, our guerrillas which encountered with a disguised unit of the occupying forces between the Şêvê village and Iskambo hill in the Şirvan district of Siirt, entered into conflict with enemy forces. With the start of the conflicts, sikorsy-type helicopters have landed on the area amid the support of cobra-type attack helicopters of the occupying forces. Our forces have clashed with the enemy forces in close range and four soldiers have been killed here, while many others were wounded. Our guerrillas which clashed with the occupying forces for two days have reached their base areas firmly.
On October 17, our forces put under surveillance a disguised unit of the occupying forces which was moving on the field in the Martyr Mizgin area of Bitlis. The enemy unit put under surveillance for some time was targeted by our forces around 18.00 hours. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action where the enemy unit was hit effectively could not be determined.
5. On October 11, the occupying Turkish army had launched an operation in the Martyr Baran area of Amed's Farqin (Silvan) district. The operation has been withdrawn on October 14 without any results.
6. On October 17, at 15.40, the warplanes of the occupying Turkish army bombed the Çemço zone in the Zap region from the Medya Defense Zones.
