On December 25, the occupant Turkish army launched an operation around the Şutê village in Savur (Stewrê) district of Mardin. Soldiers opened fire on a civilian car, a citizen was killed and some others were wounded.
The Turkish state deliberately tried to portray that this massacre was carried out by HPG guerrillas when it was actually carried out by the Turkish soldiers.
