TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1-On 11 August, the occupier Turkish state army launched a military operation in the areas of Karargah, Asikdede and Gola Seyidan/Cemce/Kagizman/Kars. The military operation still continues with search and ambush activities by the hidden enemy units.
2-On 12 and 13 August, our guerrillas carried out different actions within the scope of our operation in the line of Semdinli, Yuksekova. The actions taken by our guerrillas are as follow;
On 12 August at around 21:30 hour, our guerrillas carried out an action against a police controle on the Road of Yuksekova-Semdinli. As a result, the number of killed and wounded enemy couldn’t be able to clerified. Aftermath, enemy forces opened rapid fire on surrounding area with no aim.
On 13 August at around 16:00 hour, the enemy’s Gare Regiment taken under fire by our guerrillas and targets have been hit effectively. The enemy forces carried away unknown numbers of killed and wounded soldiers with sikorsky type helicopters, which came to the Regiment at 22:00 hour. Aftermath of the action, in between 18:00-24:00 hours, enemy forces carried out obus and mortar attacks on the Hillsides of Gare, the Hill of Konserve, the Valley of Hacibeg and the Mountain chains of Karker.
On 13 August at around 15:30 hour, our guerrillas carried out an action against a military convoye going from Semdinli to Rubarok. The action carried out in between the Villages of Begirde and Derkite and as a result 2 enemy soldiers killed and 1 other wounded. During the action, 2 scorpian type armoured military vehicle alsi have been hit and damaged. Aftermath of the action, enemy forces opened fire on the surrounding area with no aim. As a result of this enemy fire, a bush-fire began in the area, which still continues.
On 13 August at around 14:00 hour, our guerrillas carried out an action on a work-yard building an airport in Yuksekova. As a result; 11 Lorries, 1 Bulldozer and 17 telephones burnt and destroyed. Our guerrillas carried out a meeting with the 25 workers working in the work-yard and then relesed them.
On 13 August at around 17:30 hour, our guerrillas carried out an action against a enemy sikorsky type helicopter, since enemy attempting to reach its military stations on the air. What happened to the enemy helicopter after the action is unknown.
3-On 13 August at around 18:20 hour, our guerrillas carried out action against the enemy’s Herbe military station, in the district of Nusaybin/Mardin. As a result 1 enemy soldier killed.
4-The occupier Turkish state army carrying out obus and mortar attacks on the areas of Geliye Zap, Hine, Helwesis, Suware Bene and Gare, in the district of Cukurca/Hakkari and, the areas of Xeregol, Mahir Mirzo and Karker/Seladize/Zap/the Medya Defence Areas, since 12 August. The enemy attacks still time to time continues.
