Within the scope of the Bazên Zagrosê and Cenga Xabûr Revolutionary Campaigns, a legendary resistance has taken place in the regions of Avaşîn, Metîna and Zap, which is now entering its seventh month.

This phase of the war has been waged with relentless resistance and the Apoist spirit at every moment and has produced important results.

The results of the six-month war balance are concrete evidence that the Turkish state could not implement its plan as desired and suffered defeat in this attack. Although modern weapon technology and chemical weapons have been used and the KDP has made various attempts against the guerrillas, the AKP/MHP regime cannot record the desired result and has been defeated. As a result, the systemic crisis of the Turkish regime has worsened.

One of the most important dimensions of the enemy attack that started on April 23 is the use of chemical weapons. In fact, the Turkish state used chemical weapons to cover up its historic defeat in the Garê attack in February 2021, causing the martyrdom of 6 of our comrades. When all the attacks and war techniques of the Turkish army, which started from the air and on the ground on April 23, were rendered ineffective by the new era of guerrilla tactics, our guerrilla forces resorted to the use of chemical weapons intensively. Although the number of chemical weapons attacks our forces were able to detect in six months is 323, the total amount of use is many times higher than that. 

During the six-month war period, 101 of our comrades were martyred in Avaşin, Metina and Zap provinces. 32 of our 101 comrades were martyred as a result of chemical weapons attacks. In February 2021, along with 6 of our comrades in Garê, a total of 38 of our comrades were martyred by the chemical weapons attacks of the Turkish Republic this year.  

Attacks by the invading Turkish army;

– The invading Turkish army, which suffered heavy losses in the face of the guerrilla resistance and could not get any results, bombarded the Medya Defense Zones every day, from land and air. Not only the Medya Defense Zones but also many settlements, vineyards, gardens, villages and cars in Basûre Kurdistan were bombed. Our people from Başurê Kurdistan suffered serious material damage, as well as martyrs due to these attacks of the Turkish Republic.

– The invading Turkish army, which could not get any results despite such bombardments, used chemical weapons intensively, which is a crime against humanity and war, taking strength from the silence of the international public, states and authorized institutions. It has been determined that chemical weapons and poisonous gases were used 323 times in total against war positions and tunnels in a 6-month period. Despite all this, the fascist Turkish army, which could not get any results, used a new type of chemical bomb that caused great destruction especially in September and October. 

– A contracted infantryman named Sezai Güngör, a member of the Turkish army, was shot dead by Turkish soldiers while he was trying to surrender to our guerrilla forces.
