TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

On 24 April, the occupier forces of the Turkish state army launched a military operation in the Hills of Mezra, Kawar, Seytan and Gem and; in the Villages of Norsin, Karzel, Kafan, Elmiran and Baltik/in the area of Sehit Remzi/in between the district of Genc/Bingol and the districts of Lice and Kulp/Amed.

The military operation began with enemy' landing its forces by air and, a force of 10.000 carried the operations, including the Unit of Hancer, Village Guards and contras. On the first day of the operation, our guerrillas carried out an action against one of the enemy's operational unit. As a result, it has been confirmed that 4 enemy soldier killed and many more wounded.

On the same day, the operation widened to the Villages of Keltepe, Rizde and Neva. As a result, clashes began in these areas at 12:00 and continued until night hours. During all time of the clashes, the enemy forces carried out intensive air-bombardments and artillary on the area of clashes occurred. As a result of these clashes, 10 enemy soldiers, including 2 members of the Contra Units, killed and many more wounded by our guerrillas.

There are eye-witness accounts that there may as well be more enemy soldiers killed as result of the clashes occurred during the enemy' military operation.

The military operation carried out by the occupier forces of the Turkish state army pulled back on the night hours of 25 April, under the support and protection of the cobra type helicopters.

As a result of the clashes occurred all along the military operation, 1 of our guerrilla taken as a prisoner by the enemy as a wounded. Also, we couldn't be able to get into touch with 6 of our guerrilla friends until now. We will be sharing the details with public as we receive.
