Press Release

1. On May 25, at 07.00, one of our unit has clashed with Turkish soldiers that was come across by our forces on the slopes of Gostê hill in Hakkari's Şemzinan district. A short-lived clash has took place here. While one soldier was killed in this clash, another has been wounded. We have lost connection with one comrade in this clash.

- On May 26, at 12.00, Our YJA Star forces carried out an action with heavy weapons targeting soldiers positioned on Çeta hill in Hakkari's Şemzinan disrtrict. In this action, the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not been clarified.

- On May 25, at 16.00, our forces hit soldiers positioned on Çeta hill with heavy weapons. Our forces hit soldiers on the move on the hill with assassination weapons and one soldier was killed here. In addition, our forces effectively hit with heavy weapons and destroyed three positions, including one of a grenade thrower, on the hill. Here, the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be clarified.

2. On May 25, soldiers of the Turkish army positioned themselves on the strait of Zavite in Hakkari's Çelê district. Upon this, our YJA Star forces carried out a sabotage action against this military unit. In this action, two soldiers were killed while another three were wounded. The Turkish army retreated from the area in the afternoon and removed its dead and wounded from the area with Sikorky helicopters.

3. On May 24, the Turkish army launched military activity in the Deriyê Berroj, Deriyê Meydana and Navyana Şêxa areas of Şırnak province. The operation was withdrawn inconclusively in the evening hours of May 26.

4. On May 26, at 18.00, our forces carried out a sabotage action against a vehicle used for intelligence purposes as it left the Tımok police station in Kozluk district of Batman province.  While one of the two intelligence officers in the car were killed, another has been wounded in this action.

5. Within the scope of the Martyr Mahir, Martyr Argeş and Martyr Eylem Revolutionary Campaigns, the Turkish army has launched an operation in the Martyr Sidar area of Şenkaya district in Erzurum province. While the soldiers were on the move in the field, our forces carried out an action against the soldiers at 03.00 hours on May 19. While one soldier was killed in this action, many others were wounded. The Turkish army has carried away its dead and wounded from the area via Sikorsy-type helicopters after the action. Again, on May 19, our forces have noticed a secret unit of the enemy and carried out an action after putting the unit under surveillance. While five soldiers were killed as a result of the close-range hits on the unit, many others were wounded. On May 22, our forces have put another group of soldiers under surveillance, and on 18.30 has carried out an action with individual weapons in close-range. Two soldiers were killed in this action.

6. On May 23, at 23.00, our three guerillas who were on duty were martyred as the result of an ambush by the the Iranian Sipahs near the Hasani village of Ûrmiye (Urmia).
