TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

1-On 8 July at around 22:30 hour, our YJA-Star guerrillas carried out a Road Blockagea action nearby the Village of Kane, in between the district of Kigi/Bingol and Karakocan/Elazig. During the action our guerrillas informed the people about developments and mean while Reeve of the Kerbay Village have been arrested on charges of being in relation with enemy soldiers, deploying enemy soldiers and carrying lojistic materials to the military stations. And, a court have been set up on the spot with the participation of the people. As a result, he has pleaded guilty on all charges against him and asked for pardon of the court on the base of not doing it again. People who participated to the court also suggested to give him another chance and as a result court decided to free him.

2-The occupier forces of the Turkish state army launched a military operation in the area of Oramar, in the district of Semdinli/Hakkari. The operation pulled back in the morning hours of 9 July, with no result.

3-The occupier forces of the Turkish state army carried out intensive obus and mortar bombardments on the Villages of Mamreso, Mabene and Delil, also on the areas of Avasin-Basya/Seladize/Zagros/the Medya Defence Areas, from 8 July at 18:00 hour to afternoon hours of 9 July.

4-On 6 July at around 15:30 hour, our guerrillas carried out a sabotage action against a train carrying materials, in between the districts of Palu/Elazig and Genc/Bingol. As a result, 5 cars of the train have been over-turned and railroad have been closed until 8 July.

5-On 6 July, the occupier forces of the Turkish state army launched a military operation in the district of Tatvan/Bitlis. On 7 July, the operation have been expanded. On 8 July, while the military operation was continuing on the Villages of Kurtuka, Pasvenk and Basgale and, the Hill of Sehit Bawer, a clash has been occurred in between our guerrillas and operational enemy forces at 18:40 hour. As a result of this clash, 5 enemy soldiers killed, yet number of wounded enemy soldiers couldn’t be able to clerified. Later, enemy forces carried away the corpsee and wounded soldiers with and under the support of sikorsky helicopters and ar armoured military vehicles. The military operation in these areas stil continues by the hidden units carrying out search and ambushes.
