TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1-Our guerrillas carried out extensive actions in the district of Cukurca within the scope of our sovereignty on the areas of the districts of Semdinli, Yuksekova and Cukurca/Hakkari.
On 16 October at 22:10 hour, our guerrillas carried out an action of raid on a Hill securing the Sere Seve Battalion in the district of Cukurca/Hakkari. The action carried out by two wings of our guerrillas, who got into the Hill and as a result destroyed 3 enemy positions and 1 Tank belong to enemy. As a result, 5 enemy soldiers in the position of Tank and 8 enemy soldiers in the other positions have been killed. AAftermath of the action, there has been 2 hours long clashes occurred and as a result 4 other enemy soldiers also killed in these clashes as well. In this action and clashes, total of 17 enemy soldiers killed, number of wounded soldiers couldn’t be able to clarify. Enemy forces carried away the corpses of killed and wounded soldiers with sikorski type helicopters.
The occupier Turkish state army attempted to bombard the area with cobra type helicopters, yet couldn’t be able to do as a result of retaliation of our guerrilla forces, and as a result clashes occurred for a while. Yet, the cobra type helicopters had to repulse. Aftermath, the occupier Turkish state army carried out intensive bombardments on the area with war-planes, obus and mortars, which continued until the morning hours of 17 October.
During the raid carried out by our guerrillas, also 3 of our comrades have been martyred. We will be share the I.D.s of our martyred comrades after we clarify them.
In mean time, while our guerrillas were carrying out this raid, our guerrillas were also carried out synchronous actions on the 8 separate military station and bases as well. These are;
Our guerrillas carried out an action against the Karatas military station and its security Hill. As a result, 2 A4 enemy positions have been destroyed together with the soldiers in it. And, also 1 tenth belong to soldiers has been burnt.
Our guerrillas also carried out actions on both Gire Militay station with 4 different wings and Eris Battalion with 3 different wings. In mean time, our guerrillas also taken under fire the Cukurca Brigade, the Sere Seve Battalion, Siker and Maruka Military Bases. All the targets have been effectively hit by our guerrillas. The number of killed and wounded enemy soldiers couldn’t be able to clarify by our forces.
Aftermath of these actions, our guerrillas have been hit the Bilican Regiment/Cukurca, until the morning hours of 17 October. All the targets have been hit effectively by our guerrillas. The number of killed and wounded enemy soldiers couldn’t be clarified.
On 17 October, our guerrillas carried out an action against operational enemy forces, who launched a military operation in the area of Geliye Zap, on 14 October. The action carried out in between 09:00-11:00 hours, against the operational enemy soldiers positioned in the area of Semedar. All the military targets have been effectively hit by our guerrilla forces. The number of killed and wounded enemy soldiers couldn’t be able to clarify. Aftermath of this action, the cobra type enemy helicopters carried out attack on the areas of Gare, Guze Res and Semedar, where long period of clashes occurred after retaliation of our guerrillas. The enemy cobra type helicopters had to leave the area after no success on their attacks on these areas.
The occupier Turkish state army continue its bombardments on the other areas as well. There have been bombardments with war-planes, cobra type helicopters, obus and mortars on the areas of Geliye Zap and Kucuk Gare, since 16 October. The occupier Turkish state army also carried out bombardments with obus and mortars on the area of Qala Suke, in the district of Yuksekova, on 16 October in between 13:00-14:00 hours.
The military operation launched by the occupier Turkish state army on 1 October, in the area of Geliye Doski/Yuksekova, pulled back on 17 October.
2-On 17 October at around 10:30 hour, our guerrillas carried out an action against an enemy military convoy, while passing in between the Villages of Esenyamac and Kisimli, in the district of Baskale/Van. The action carried out a enemy military convoy made of 3 Panzers. As a result, 1 Panzer destroyed and 6 enemy soldiers killed by our guerrillas. Aftermath of the action, enemy forces carried away the corpses of their killed and wounded soldiers with 2 sikorski type helicopters for 3 times. Later, also carried out obus and mortar bombardments on the area. The occupier enemy forces also launched a partial military operation in the area.
3-On 17 October in between 11:00-12:00 hours, our guerrillas detained 15 teachers in the Village of Bulakbas/Krakoyun/Igdir, who are responsible to practice the enemy’s assimilation policy. Our guerrillas released 9 of the teachers after warning made. The other 6 teachers have been released after 1 hour long questioning.
4-The occupier Turkish state army launched a military operation with also participation of the Village-guards in the surrounding area of the Village of Habizbina, in the district of Gercus/Batman, on 16 October.
