Press Release
1. For a while, the invading Turkish army has been set up a checkpoint on a hill in order to ensure road safety on Bitlis and Hizan road. Our forces have put under surveillance the mobility of the enemy on the hill. On July 19, at 14.00, our forces carried out a sabotage action targeting a transit vehicle of the invading Turkish army moving towards the hill.
In the action the targeted vehicle was completely destroyed, a total of 7 enemy soldiers, including the Bitlis Central District Gendarmerie Commander Major Zafer Akkuş, were killed and 5 soldiers were wounded. Following the action, the invading Turkish army indiscriminately opened fire the area of action and its surroundings with helicopters and armored vehicles. Our action unit has reached their base area safely.
On the same day, at 14.00, our forces carried out a sabotage action against a base station in the Martyr Mizgin area of the Tatvan district of Bitlis. The base station was destroyed as a result of the action.
2. Within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Campaign, our forces carried out effective actions against the occupation operation launched by the invading Turkish army in Xakurkê area. The details of the actions are as follows:
On July 18, the invaders trying to airdrop with Sikorsky helicopters in the Dola Çîngene area were targeted by our forces. Enemy units were put under intense fire from the sides and 4 soldiers were killed and 1 soldier were wounded as a result of effective hits. Our forces also targeted drone-type unmanned aerial vehicles trying to fly over the area simultaneously. The targeted drone was destroyed. Following the action, the invading Turkish army carried away the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with the support of the attack helicopters. The invading Turkish army, which was inflicted a heavy blow, forced to withdraw its forces from the area.
In the morning of 20 July, our forces carried a sabotage action against an operation unit of the invading Turkish army positioned on the Helicopter hill. 2 soldiers were killed and 1 soldier was wounded in the action. The invading Turkish army bombed the area with helicopters, removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Skorsky helicopters.
Our action unit has reached their base area safely.
3. On July 19, within the scope of Martyr Medya Mawa and Martyr Rizgar Gever Revenge Campaign, our forces carried out a sabotage action against a unit of the invading Turkish army carrying out search activities near the village of Zıvıngê in Şırnak. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be clarified in the action. Following the action, the invading Turkish army removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Sikorsky type helicopters.
4. On 08 July, at 08.00, the invading Turkish army bombed the Talê area of Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari with warplanes. Two of our comrades martyred in the bombardment. The ID information of our comrades martyred will be shared with the public later on.
5. On July 19, at 16.30, the warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Hakkari hill of the Metina region in the Medya Defense Zones, and the Martyr Beritan area of the Xakurkê region on July 20 between 13.00 and 13.00. We did not suffer any losses in these bombardments.
