On March 11, the invading Turkish army launched an invasion operation in Siro and Gümbet areas in the Biradost region within the boundaries of Southern Kurdistan from Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district.
Partially retreating from the area on March 14, the Turkish army shelled Siro hillsides and Gelîyê Reş area with howitzer and mortar fire at between 19:30 and 20:30 the same day. Following the bombardment, Turkish jets bombed Siro hillsides, Gelîyê Reş area and foothills of Mount Evdil Kovî. At 22:00 in the evening, the invading forces airdropped soldiers in the region of Hill Siro, Hill Masiro and Hill Partizan and expanded the operation.
At 11:30 on March 15, clashes erupted between our forces and the soldiers of the invading army that attempted to enter Hill Partizan and Masiro Valley. Simultaneously with the clashes, Turkish warplanes bombed the area.
