 1. Within the scope of the Revolutionary Victory Campaign launched in the Serhat province, upon intelligence which was received by our forces, on March 12, at 14.00 hours, our forces carried out an extensive revolutionary operation against a Kirpi-type armoured vehicle and another Amarok-type vehicle carrying intelligent officers near the village of Kule in the Bazid (Dogubeyazit) district of Agri province.

These vehicles which were put under intense fire on three arms were effectively hit, and both vehicles were completely destroyed. Two Cobra-type armoured vehicles which arrived in the area approximately half an hour later for intervention was targeted by our forces and inflicted heavy blows. The occupying Turkish army has carried away to Bazid the debris of the destroyed Kirpi vehicle with the support of a crane which came to the area. The debris of the Amarok-type vehicle with the bodies of five intelligence officers have been left on the scene.

After carrying away the debris of the armoured vehicle, occupying forces attempted to carry away some of the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with ambulances. Two armoured vehicles which again arrived on the scene approximately one hour later for intervention were targeted by our forces for the second time. These vehicles which were effectively hit have been damaged. 

Our forces which took control over the area went over the Amarok-type vehicle and seized many military materials and documents found inside the vehicle, and then set the vehicle on fire.

 During the evening of the same day, our forces carried out a sabotage action against a convoy consisting of the occupying Turkish army’s armoured vehicles heading towards the Demirkapi area. Whilst one Kirpi-type armoured vehicle was completely destroyed in the action, the remaining vehicles in the convoy were forced to withdraw. The occupying forces carried away dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Sikorsy-type helicopters and ambulances towards the hours of the night. The debris of the armoured vehicle which was left over on the scene was removed the next day.

Within the scope of the revolutionary operation conducted by our forces, a total of 26 enemies were killed, including five intelligence officers, five contras and 16 soldiers. Two Kirpi-type armoured vehicles and one Amarok-type vehicle were destroyed, and four armoured vehicles were damaged. Our forces have also seized many military materials from the enemy. The materials which were seized by our forces are as following;

-15  AK-47 magazines and 350 AK-47 bullets.

-18 HK-33 magazines and 240 HK-33 bullets.

-5 assault vests.

-Many hand grenades and steel vests.

-One pair of binoculars and two cameras.

-Many military documents and materials.

 Our forces which carried out the revolutionary operation have successfully conducted their action and we have not had any losses here. Following the actions which were carried out, occupying forces indiscriminately bombed areas with tanks, howitzer and mortar shells.

 2. On March 13, our forces carried out actions against the occupying Turkish army in Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district. Within this scope;

On 09.00 hours, our forces carried out an action targeting enemy positions on Koordine hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action could not be determined.

On 10.00 hours, our forces carried out an action against enemy soldiers positioned on Xeregol hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in the enemy positions which were hit effectively could not be determined.

Around 11.30 hours, our forces carried out an action against Şikêr outpost. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action where the enemy’s booths and positions in the enemy compound were hit could not be determined.

3. On March 13, our forces carried out an action against the occupying Turkish army positioned on the Gumbet hill in Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action could not be determined.

 4. On March 6, around 11.30 hours, one of our guerrilla units encountered and entered into conflict with the soldiers of the occupying Turkish army on the Feni highland in Osmaniye province. Following the conflict which took place, occupying forces which were unable to go over our unit intensively bombed the area with warplanes. Our comrade Şergo has reached martyrdom as a result of the intense technique used by the enemy.

Our comrade Şergo Botan came to the world in Rojava’s Derik town as the child of a patriotic family. Many individuals from the family of comrade Şergo have taken part in the Kurdish Freedom Movement. Our comrade Şergo has followed in the footsteps of his family members who joined the struggle before him, taking part in the ranks of freedom like them and has carried on an active struggle against the genocidal policies of the fascist Turkish state against the Kurdish people from the very first moment he joined. Our comrade Şergo, who fought with the consciousness to create the freedom of the Kurdish people, the unity of all four parts of Kurdistan, and to raise the struggle, has become one of our comrades who pioneered in all environments as a comrade displaying great labour and devotion to the struggle. Our comrade Şergo has led a relentless struggle for the freedom of the Kurdish people until the very moment of his martyrdom and has become an example for his comrades.

We express our condolences to foremost the family of our comrade Şergo Botan, and all our patriotic people for his martyrdom, and reiterate the oath that we will continue our struggle until the freedom of the Kurdish people.
