TO THE PRESS AND THE PUBLIC
We, the Guerrılla front, announced ‘a Non-Action Period’ which began on the 13th of April, 2009 to pave the way for a democratic process and to contribute to the discussions on the solution of the Kurdish issue.
Yet, despite such an approach of infinite awareness and adherence to such a period by the guerrilla front, the system of the Republic of Turkey (TC) and its fascist army continuously carried out military operations aiming to destroy our guerrilla forces, worsened the living conditions of our leader APO, and increased its oppression against our people and its democratic institutions.
The latest incident where two of our friends Zafer (Metin Culac) and Harun (Yakup Dellayimilan) were martyred on the 4th of December 2009 in clashes as a result of a military operation by the Turkish army clearly represents the aggressive attitude of the Turkish state's fascist soldiers’ even against the martyred guerrillas. And, this aggressive approach towards the martyred bodies is also a testimony that reveals the savagery of both the government and army.
The system of the Turkish Republic does not even respect and act humanely towards our dead bodies instead swears, kicks and drags them around. They should know that the Guerrillas of the HPG are highly devoted to their martyrs. And for those who want to test the HPG, they should look at the history and learn from it.
Those circles who wanted to terrorize our movement after the military action in Tokat by claiming that it was inhuman should watch this video taken three days before the incident in Tokat very carefully.
Overall, once more it has become clear that a political-military project, which aims the destruction of our people, has been presented to the public as 'opening' and democratization. This is a maneuver and make-up by the dominant system in order to invalidate the steps taken by our organization to resolve the issue.
The HPG wows to keep in line with the memories of its martyrs and ideology and also invites all the public not to be silent against this brutality.
