My leader;

It is impossible to describe my love and devotion to you.

I want to say that I am the guardian of all the values to which you devoted a lifetime and which you created virtually out of nothing; that these values are my reason for struggle; that now, more than ever, I strive to give this meaning in life, to keep it alive with you to the extent of my strength, and to learn the values of freedom you created and the meaningful life you built. Of course, I know that this effort of mine cannot repay all your efforts and labor. Yet, as one of your students, I would like to state with an open heart that I strive to take continuous change and struggle as my foundation.

With you, I felt how pleasurable life is and how many profound meanings it carries. Life places so many choices before a person; I believe that the meaning of life lies in these choices and that choices are the work of change and creation. Yet I understand very clearly, from the dead ends humanity has entered today even at the simplest points, that choosing is not an easy matter.

To distinguish good from evil, beauty from ugliness, freedom, honor, dignity, degradation, courage, fear, and so on; to choose what is right among them, to live according to one's choice, and to transform what one did not choose into what one did choose and make it active requires a great heart, a superior will, and boundless faith. You are the one who achieved this in every place and at every time. Thus, your choices mean sacred values to me, whose requirements must be fulfilled completely and flawlessly, with fine mastery.

While trying to live with what you created, I also saw how much I had changed and developed. I saw that every change I created within myself through your strength was the beginning of a new approach to life. And these beginnings placed before me the ways of reaching you, becoming attached to you, and understanding you on a stronger and sounder foundation.

In fact, I can also describe this as a journey we set out on together. In every place and every geography we passed through on this journey, and in every moment of this life in which we moved together, I learn something new from you each time and try to absorb what I have learned.

If you were to ask what I learned on this journey with you?

First, I learned the beauty of being human. Looking at what I had gained, I realized what humanity had lost until today.

I learned what it means to live with honor.

I learned what it means to live freely in boundless mountains.

By living it, I learned the pleasure of walking, running, sharing, and conversing with thousands of heroes.

I learned the meaning of the happy smile on the faces of those who devoted themselves to humanity and their people.

I learned what the courage in the hearts of those who do not surrender before the enemy means.

I learned how great the hearts of thousands of valiant fighters are.

I learned the secrets of a woman becoming more beautiful as she advances step by step along the road to freedom and fights.

I learned the splendor of a people standing with honor in the garden of peoples after recreating itself from its own ashes.

I learned how great the devotion is of a people who turn themselves into a ring of fire for their Leaders.

I learned what the relentless struggle of a Leader who devoted their entire life to humanity and their people is like.

I learned the source of the greatness of resisting and struggling alone between four walls in captivity.

I learned how deep and meaningful is the heart that showed the world how one must live freely even between four walls.

I learned how wretched and helpless are the hearts of those who fear a Leader who belongs to humanity and their people so much that they keep that Leader in conditions of isolation.

I learned what it means to be so impoverished in thought as to fail to calculate what a people who have devoted their whole lives, consciousness, and feelings to their Leadership will do when they can no longer accept the isolation imposed upon their Leadership.

I learned the wretchedness of a mentality that fails to calculate how searing and forceful the response of thousands of 'devotees of freedom,' bound to their Leadership from the heart, will be to the slightest dishonoring approach toward their Leadership.

And I learned how one must respond to an enemy that grows increasingly reckless and ugly in its approach to our Leadership.

What I have learned from you is like a drop in the ocean beside what I will yet learn from you. For there is no end to learning, understanding, and loving you.

To my heroic, patriotic people.

I am witnessing the heroic war and epic resistance of a people who have waged the greatest and most magnificent struggle of all time, paid many prices for it, and are devoted to their Leadership and freedom.

Under the leadership of President Apo, humanity and a people have recreated themselves. It stands before us as a plain reality that the Kurdish people regard the life they shaped through the values created up to today as equal to the life and way of life of President Apo, the creator of those values. History has witnessed time and again how attitudes and actions undertaken by disregarding our realities have brought immense destruction and extinction with them.

For this reason, just as past history has proven to the entire world that calculations made by ignoring the reality of a people who see their Leadership as themselves, the reason for their Leadership's existence as the reason for their own existence, and their Leadership's life as their own life have come to nothing—and has proven the destruction of those who made such calculations—it is an indisputable reality that the same outcome will occur today and in the future.

I state that I experience the honor of trying to be a humble fighter of a people devoted to their Leadership with a passion for victory and freedom, a people who have paid a price for this cause and are ready to pay it today as well, a people who proclaim that the approach taken toward their Leadership will be for them the reason for war and peace; and the honor of contributing something, however small, to this struggle.

Coming from a people tempered by pain, joy, hope, and dreams, who until today have thought of nothing but their honor and freedom and are locked on victory, and living by their values, plainly reveals my duties and responsibilities as a soldier of this struggle. I am proud to renew once more to my heroic people my promise that I have no doubt I will fulfill these duties and responsibilities to the end, to the full extent allowed by my mind, self, consciousness, and heart, and that I will not hesitate to carry out whatever falls to me.

To all comrades

We know that, with the spirit of the PKK that created rebirth together with the PKK, we are witnessing the creation of humanity in this geography. We see that the spirit created by the Kemals, Hayris, and Mazlums—who became virtually one body in mind, heart, and consciousness around our Leadership, created from nothing, devoted their entire lives, and planted the values of life at its core—has reached the present day, growing and multiplying unshakably. With the great commander Comrade Agit, we learned every subtle skill and mastery, the greatness of command, and the courage and boldness to take the step that will create great beginnings.

With Comrade Zilan, we learned the secrets of becoming a goddess and how profound and unwavering her devotion to her Leadership was.

With Comrade Sema, we learned that our sun, the source of our life, is one and without equal; with Comrade Beritan, we learned what it means to choose freedom over surrender.

And from thousands more of our martyrs, we learned to be human, the meaning of living, resistance, heroism, courage, consciousness, anger, revenge, the self, perseverance, hope, dreams, and realities. Once again, we renew our promise that we will protect what these comrades left and created and that we will be their relentless followers.

We know the meaning of all the values created up to today. It is clear how great and heavy is the responsibility placed upon us to embrace, protect, and carry them into the future. To be a militant of the process and the period and to answer what is required, as a necessity of devotion to the Leadership, the martyrs, and our people, is the very spirit of being PKK. The past has shown us very clearly the great courage and resolve displayed until today in carrying this spirit and fulfilling its requirements. As bearers of this spirit, we know that from now on we will be even more persistent, stubborn, determined, and equally sharp in fulfilling its requirements. We believe this because history has proven time and again that nothing can withstand the hopes and dreams of our people, who strive to understand and know our Leadership and regard its life as their own, or the hearts and courage of the fighters and militants who do not refrain from sacrificing themselves for this. With the pride of having shared life and a lifetime with meaning alongside thousands of heroic and courageous comrades for years, I greet you all.

To my family

I know that you understand why, instead of remaining with you and spending a lifetime together, I chose this honorable life and struggled for a Leader and a people. I want you to know that I received from you the strength to choose this life. I know that you are not so selfish as to expect me to stay beside you and struggle only for you, nor so blind as to disregard fulfilling the requirements of an ongoing historic struggle. You should know that I share an honorable and beautiful life with the children of thousands of mothers and fathers around you who are like you. Greetings.
