Clan and woman

In humanity's past, the place of the clan and the understanding of clan life are very important.

When we do not understand clan life well, we cannot give meaning to the constructed systems of our own day. Leader Apo addresses this subject as a central issue in all his defenses. Therefore, in every assessment and interpretation, this method must also be our basis. Let us continue interpreting clans within the framework of Leader Apo's defenses.

The clan has the mother as its foundation. In other writings, even if only briefly, we had already spoken of the clan. This time we will dwell on some other aspects. In clans, the fundamental issue is self-increase through birth and numerical protection. Woman brings the child into the world, cares for it, and raises it. This is a great advantage over other living beings. For this reason, it makes woman, or the mother, sacred. Because in this way the continuity of the clan is secured. Thus the clan realizes its cohesion around woman. In this period, every kind of work of socialization takes shape under the leadership of woman.

Here the woman's gathering activity is necessary. Because she has the task of continuing the generations. In any case, when a woman is pregnant or has only just given birth, she cannot go hunting for weeks. For this reason, this task, or hunting, belongs to the man. Here there is self-sustaining life and a natural continuity.

This society, which communicates through sign language, is organized by the direction and inclination of woman. Here one movement by the woman, a hand gesture, a smile, or a glance is enough.

Already at that time their living spaces were caves and the edges of caves. They also lived over water and in tall trees. This too was for self-protection. The clan is one. In the clan there is no family or marriage. What is essential is the root of the woman. That is, there is no man in that sense. There is no such thing as so-and-so being the husband of someone, or someone being the wife of so-and-so. In the mentality of that time there is no such thing. But the mother's brother, the uncle, and the sister have duties.

The means and tools used at that time were polished stones. The identity of the clan also forms with the development of symbolic language. Here society needs to be explained through concepts. For this reason, the basic identity is the CLAN. The mentality of that time is ANIMISM. As is known, animism sees nature and every kind of matter as living. At that time, too, every matter is alive. When a gazelle is killed, forgiveness is asked from it. Or when a tree is cut, forgiveness is again asked, and unless there is a necessity or compulsion, neither an animal is killed nor a tree cut. Of course, since benefit is taken from these as well, they are sacred for them.

Clans spread into the world from the Rift Line in East Africa three million years ago. The reason for this spread is the increase in numbers and the change in the geography there. Because that period was an ice age; much ice melted, and the rise of water left no possibilities for life. A body accustomed to ice may not have been able to adapt after the ice melted. If we think of a mammoth, the situation becomes clearer. They would either migrate or disappear. After two million years they reached Mesopotamia, Asia, and Europe. But in this migration or change of place, primates called Neanderthal and Homorite disappeared. According to archaeologists and biologists, Neanderthal entered into relations with other primates and changed through evolution. After the Fourth Ice Age, twenty thousand years ago, the ice melted. This brought with it the change of seasons. Those who resist these seasonal changes, or change themselves, or adapt, remain standing. Here one of these species or primates, Homo sapiens, keeps itself standing in all its majesty! That is, we can say that Homo sapiens is the human being after the melting of the ice, and this species begins the Neolithic with itself. Of course, before the Neolithic, periods such as the Paleolithic and Mesolithic (15,000-10,000 BCE) were lived.

These clans settle especially at first in Upper Mesopotamia, in areas such as Newala Çorê (Riha), Girê Kortik (Bismil-Amed), and Qotê Berçem (Erganî). When we look at these places, especially at Erganî Qotê Berçem - I have seen it myself as well - there are carvings of Mother-Child symbols above the mouths of the caves. Twelve thousand years ago, a systematic life was established in caves. It was a very, very advanced system. Animals were domesticated. Agriculture was practiced. They moved toward the formation of villages. Grasses and plants were planted. Jars and vessels were made, and in this way surplus food was hidden in them. Weaving appeared. They made clothes for themselves from wool. They planted wheat. When we look at the course of history, in the Tell Halaf period (6000-4000 BCE) they fully passed into villages, and such developments reached their most advanced level in this period. Again, donkeys were used for carrying loads. For them, they were as important as our trucks today.

Here there is revolution, and this revolution is THE GREATEST REVOLUTION. It is said that the revolutionary developments of that time were equivalent to Europe's four hundred years of revolutions. If these developments had not existed, it would already have been impossible to pass into a systematic life and to take the steps of urbanization. Socialization would not have advanced either. The most important situation here is this: previously gathering and hunting were for one day and were necessarily consumed. But after STORAGE-PRESERVATION, society grows more and more. Surplus food and products emerge. Now property is abundant. It is more than what can be eaten daily or yearly. For example, they make large jars and store a year's supply of wheat in them. Or with domesticated animals they form herds and, whenever necessary, benefit from their milk, wool, and meat. Along with this, agriculture is carried out with a yoke and strong animals. This forces the clan to enlarge its form, and in this way, with the coming together of clans, the TRIBE comes into being. Now in tribes there is a different situation: MARRIAGE, FAMILY, AND SHAMAN exist. Although these three concepts were not as harmful in those times as they are today, they are enough to become the basis of all evils and wrongs, and the foundations or seeds of statist civilizations are laid.
