The Turkish occupation army has been carrying out extensive operations against our forces in the Botan region since autumn. Most of these offensives have been skillfully thwarted. In response to the latest operation launched in the Cudi Mountains, our mobile guerrilla units have responded with effective actions and dealt heavy blows to the occupiers.
Resistance to the Turkish invasion of the Zap and Avaşîn regions in southern Kurdistan continues unabated. The Turkish army is increasingly resorting to the use of chemical warfare agents due to unsuccessful attempts to capture the guerrillas' defensive positions. Nevertheless, the will to stand against the war of aggression remains unbroken. This is once again evident in the results of the actions.
In the actions carried out by our forces from Bakur to Bashur, a total of 16 invaders were punished, 1 invader was injured and 1 helicopter was damaged.
The details of the actions are as follows;
1. In the Botan region;
The details of the actions carried out in the Cûdîd area led by YJA Star are as follows:
– On April 29, the invaders in Girê Hendek were hit sides with a coordinated guerrilla action at 15:00 by our YJA Star forces. As a result of the action, at least 3 invaders were punished. The invaders, who bombed the area after the action, removed their casualties from the area with helicopters.
– The invaders positioned in the Teyrê Base area on April 29 were put under surveillance by our forces. The invaderr were targeted by our mobile guerrilla units with an infiltration tactic at 18:00 and hit with hand grenades and individual weapons. After this action, in which at least 2 invaders were punished as a result of effective hits, the invaders oped their surroundings in panic. The invaders were able to remove their losses from the area with helicopters in the evening hours.
– On April 30, at 10:30, the invaders on the Teyre Baz ridge were once again targeted and shot by our forces with the simultaneous assassination tactic from two sides. As a result of this action, 2 invaders were punished. After the action, the invading Turkish army was able to carried away its losses from the area with the support of attack helicopters. The invading Turkish army had to withdraw the invasion operation in the evening of 30 April, after heavily bombarding the area with attack helicopters, mortars and howitzers.
These effective actions, in which 7 invaders were punished, were carried out by our mobile guerrillas in the Botan area to avenge our immortal comrades who were martyred in Avaşin and Zap.
2. In Avaşîn region;
– On May 1, at 00:00, the invaders in the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with the simultaneous assassination tactic from two sides, and 2 invaders were punished. After the action, the resistance area was bombarded with howitzers.
– On May 1, at 13:20, 3 positions of the invaders around the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted by our forces. As a result of the action, 3 positions were damaged.
– On May 1, at 15:35, the invaders who attempted to take positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces. The invaders, who had to retreat one stage after this action by our forces, heavily bombarded the area.
3. In the Zap region;
– Helicopters of the invading Turkish army fly over the Amediye district of Duhok, under the control of KDP, to the Kurojahro Resistance Area, were targeted by our forces at night on April 30. As a result of the effective hits of our forces, 1 Skorsky helicopter was hit and had to leave the area.
– On April 30, the invading Turkish army bombed the Girê Şehîd Cûdî battle positions in the Karker Resistance Area and the Girê Berxwedan battle positions in the Şehîd Şahin Resistance Area on May 2 with chemical weapons.
– On May 1, at 10:50, the invaders attempted to take position around the Girê Şehîd Harun battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were hit from two sides by our YJA Star forces. As a result of this action, 1 invader was punished and 1 invader was injured.
– On May 1, between 07:15 and 11:00, the invaders around the Kevirêkun battle positions of the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted and shot three times by our forces with the assassination tactic. As a result of these actions, 3 invaders were punished. On the same day, at 14:00, the invaders were targeted and shot again by our forces and 1 invader was punished.
– At 11:15 on May 1, the invaders around the Girê Ortê battle positions in the Karker Resistance Area were targeted by our forces. As a result of this action, 1 invader was punished.
– On May 1, at 12:20, the invaders in the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces and 1 invader was punished.
4. On 1 May, the Girê Cûdî, Çemço and Saca areas of the Zap region were bombed tens of times with howitzers fired from outposts on the border line, and 11 times with warplanes. In the morning of the same day, the Werxelê Resistance Area was bombed with howitzers fired from the outposts on the border line.
– On May 1, between 18:00 and 00:00, Girê Hakkarî in the Metîna region was bombed by warplanes and howitzers fired from the outposts on the border line.
