Press release
1. On August 8, at 09.30 am, our forces organized an action against the invading Turkish army soldiers constructing a road between Çeta hill and Vacip outpost in the Qileban (Uludere) district of Şırnak.
Here, a digger was destroyed and one soldier was killed. After the action, the enemy forces bombarded the area with howitzers and mortars.
2. On August 8, at 19.00, our forces carried out an action against the occupying Turkish army's Gurini outpost in the Nusaybin district of Mardin province. In the action, the number of dead and wounded enemy soldiers could not be determined.
3. On August 9, at 19.10, a Reo-type military vehicle heading towards Hakkari's Commando Hill was targeted by our guerrillas in the Esendere area. In the action, the military vehicle was destroyed and two soldiers were killed.
4. On August 9, between 11.00- 12.00, cobra-type helicopters belonging to the occupying Turkish army bombed the Gundikremo area in the Cudi Mountain of Şırnak province. As a result of the bombardment, a fire broke in the area and is still ongoing.
5. On 28 July, the occupying Turkish army launched an operation in the area of Martyr Xebat of Bingöl province. The Turkish army shelled the area with Cobra-type helicopters, howitzers and mortars and on July 29 withdrew from the area without any results.
6. In our statement dated July 15, we had shared the information that on August 1, five of our comrades fell as martyrs as a result of the conflicts with the army in Sımo hamlet and Hedilê village of Şırnak's Hezex district.
