The freedom guerrillas of Kurdistan continue to deal heavy blows to the occupation operation of the Turkish colonial state. The Turkish occupation forces are unable to advance on the ground and continue to use chemical weapons and explosives on a massive scale.
On May 10, 11 and 12, the resistance areas were bombed 27 times with chemical weapons, 36 times by fighter jets and helicopters and hundreds of times by howitzers. Despite the Turkish state's vile methods, six occupiers were punished and three others were injured in effective actions of our forces. One Sikorsky helicopter was shot down and one attack helicopter was damaged. These effective actions prove once again the hawklike striking power of the guerrillas equipped with the Apoist spirit of self-sacrifice.
The details of the actions taken are as follows;
1. In the Zap region;
– On May 11, at 21:30, the invading Turkish state attempted to airdrop around the battle positions in the Girê Şahîn Şahîn Resistance Area with Skorsky type helicopters after intensely bombarding the battle positions with attack helicopters. Our forces, put under intense fire these helicopters. As a result of the effective hits, the Skorsky type helicopter was damaged heavily and crashed in the Kûnîşka area while trying to get away from the area. A big explosion occurred in the area where the helicopter crashed. As a result of this action, 1 Skorsky helicopter was destroyed and the invaders were punished. The area where the Skorsky helicopter crashed was then heavily bombed by the Turkish army.
– Attack helicopters attempted to bombard the battle positions in Girê Rûbar on May 11 at 22:30 were the target of our forces. As a result of effective hits, 1 attack helicopter was damaged. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the attack helicopter had to leave the area.
– The attack helicopter that wanted to bomb the Çiyareş Resistance Area and Girê Cehennem battle positions at 23:30 on 11 May was targeted by our forces. As a result of the effective intervention of our forces, attack helicopters had to leave the area. On the same day, the area was bombed by attack helicopters at night.
– Our forces intervened attack helicopters on the Mahîr Mîrzo area between 23:00 and 00:00 on 11 May. On the same day, attack helicopters that attempted bombard the battle positions in Şikefta Birîndara and Karker Resistance Areas were targeted 3 times by our forces. As a result of the strikes of our forces, attack helicopters had to leave the area.
2. In our statement dated 9 May; We shared the information that a successful action was carried out by our YJA Star forces against the invaders in Girê Şehîd Derwêş at 16:20 on 6 May in the Xakurke region. In this action, it was determined that 6 invaders were punished and 3 invaders were injured.
3. The invading Turkish army continues its extensive attacks on Medya Defence Zones. The details of the attacks, in which warplanes and attack helicopters were used extensively, are as follows:
– From 10 May until 11 May, the Werxelê Resistance Area in Avaşîn and Girê Şehîd Berxwedan in the Girê Şehîd Şahin Resistance Area in Zap were bombed 27 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
– On 11 and 12 May, the Çemço and Sîda areas of the Zap region were bombed with attack helicopters. On the same dates, Karker and Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Areas were bombed hundreds of times with mortars, howitzers and 21 times with warplanes.
– Between 11 and 12 May, the Girê Cûdî and Girê Amediye areas in the Zap region were bombed dozens of times with howitzers fired from the police stations on the border line, and 5 times with warplanes.
– On 10 and 11 May, the Girê Hakkarî and Girê Ortê areas of the Metîna region were bombed 5 times with warplanes. It was bombed with howitzers fired from the police stations on the Girê Hakkarî border line on 11 May.
– On May 11, between 20:40 and 23:00, the Werxelê Resistance Area in the Avaşîn region was bombed 5 times by attack helicopters.
– On May 11, between 21:00 and 00:30, Kurojahro, Şehîd Şemdîn, Şehîd Harun, Çiyareş, Girê Şehîd Cûdî and Girê Ortê areas were bombed with attack helicopters and howitzers fired from police stations on the border line.
