TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1- The Turkish state army launched a military operation, the village-guards also involved, in the in and surrounding areas of Bitlis, which has been continuing since 9 April. On 17 May, the operation extended to the area of Sex Cuma/Bitlis by air-landing soldiers with scorscy type helicopters and reinforced with armoured military vehicles.
While Cobra type attack helicopters intensively bombarding the area, balloons which contains some chemical elements in them have also thrown on the area.
During this the same military operation, on 18 May at around 10:00 hour, a clash occurred in between our guerrilla forces and one of the wings of the enemy. As a result of this clash, while 2 soldiers killed and 1 soldier of the enemy wounded by our guerrillas. Afterwards of the clash, cobra type attack helicopters intensively bombarded the site of the clash. On the same day, there has been a second clash occurred in between our guerrilla forces in the area of Lere. As a result of this second clash 1 of our guerrilla name Demhat Kocer (Ridvan Aktas) reached to martry after bravely resisted. Military operation of the enemy still continues with ambushes of the hidden troops belongs to enemy in the area.

2- On 18 May, the Turkish state army launched military operation by carrying out ambushes in the areas of Resane, Baminde and Sise/Sehit Kendal/Amed. On the same day, at around 11:00 hour, the Cobra type attack helicopters which belongs to the Turkish state army have thrown balloons on the area of Sise and Henyes, where when these balloons contacts with the surface white and red smoke comes out of them. After throwned the balloons, 1 and 1,5 hours later, the Turkish state army searched the area where the balloons have had thrown. Military operation still continues with ambushes and search by the hidden troops of the enemy in the area.
3- On 19 May in between 22:00-24:00 hours, the Turkish state army carried obus and mortar attack on the areas of Dola Betalma, Gire Betalma and the Village of Haftanin/Haftanin/the Medya Defence Areas.
