TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1- The Turkish state army launched a military operation in the surrounding areas of the Villages of Zivinge, Dara, Kewaxe and Bamine/Nusaybin/Mardin, since 3 April. The Village-Guards from the Village of Memira also participated to the operations. The operation still continues in term of ambushes. We wil give information as we receive details on the continuing operation.
2- On 20 April, the Turkish state army carried an obus and mortar attacks on the Village of Sarke, the Hills of Ciyares, Rubar, Angola and Sehit Ferhat/Zap/The Medya Defence Areas.
3- The Turkish state army, launched a military operation in the area of Dorsin/Kulp/Amed. The Village-Guards also participated to this operation. During the operation Village-Guards has been put at the front of soldiers as a shields against the Guerrillas. During this operation, there has been clash occurred at 10:30 hours in between our guerrillas and enemy forces. As a result, the scorsky helikopters air-landed more soldiers under the support of Cobra type attack helicopters to the area. The clashes spreaded to the different parts of the area and continued until night hours. As a result of these clashes, 1 Village-Guard killed and 2 other Village-Guards wounded. The operation pulled back on the night hours with no result.
4- On 20 April, a clash occurred as a result of the attack carried by the Turkish state army against one of our Guerrilla units in nearby of the area Seyrantepe/Pazarcik. As a result 3 of our Guerrillas have been martered and another guerrilla wounded, whome taken as a prisoner by the Turkish state army.
The Turkish state and its government insistancy to continue their destructive all-out increasing operations despite our movement' insisting anouncements that we will stay in a defencive position until 15 June.
In one of this destructive attacks carried out by the Turkish state army against our guerrillas on 20 April, 3 of our voluable guerrillas have been martered.
