TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

1- On 20th of August, 2010, at around 23:00 hours, the Turkish state army launched a military operation in the rural area of the village of Nogelya/Semdinli/Hakkari. The operation began under support of a bombarding with obus and mortars. And, in the early morning of 21st of August, the cobra type attack helicopters bombarded the area as a part of the operation. At 07:30 hours, a clash occurred in between our guerrillas and enemy forces, who launched a military operation against our guerrillas to destroy. The clashes continued until 14:00 hours and as a result 1 professional sergent killed, and 4 of our guerrillas reached to martry after brave resitancy.

2- On 21st of August, 2010, in between 13:00-15:00 hours, the Turkish state army bombarded the villages of Mahir Mirzo, Xeregol, Bircela and Sifreza in the Zap area/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars. As a result of this attack a fire began in the area, which still continues.
