In the reality of Leader APO, the common life of peoples, in which all nations can come together and live side by side, has become a cultural philosophy to which everyone attaches themselves.
In other words, people see their historical and social existence within it. The sign of this truth is Leader APO himself. Through his labor, communal life today throughout the world, the shared life that prevents national and social fragmentation, is chosen by every freedom-loving person. The freedom guerrillas from different nations who believed in Leader APO's ideology and joined are the proof of this. This also shows that all nations, religions, and beliefs can live freely together with their identities. Guerrilla Zinar also believed in this ideology and became one of the national pioneers whose name has been written on the map of the pages of history.
Guerrilla Zinar Hesekê, whose real name was Quseyn Abdo, was originally from the city of Hesekê and was born into an Arab family. The city and place where he grew up possess a very valuable uniqueness. Many components from different nations settled there and for long years continued their lives together on the basis of coexistence, without denying one another's existence. This richness of cultures had a very great effect on the formation of the children of that region. For that reason, however harshly the Baath regime's policies of hostility toward peoples were targeted, the cultural and social unity of the people prevented many attacks. Thus, without opening the door to hostility among peoples, it gained a national existence through a communal style of life. Guerrilla Zinar too, as an Arab youth, took his social and cultural formation from that region and grew up in this way. Therefore, on the basis of an ethical society, he became a conscious personality able to establish balance with different nations as well. As he grew older, he saw the racist realities of the regime up close and experienced contradictions. Especially against the attacks of cultural genocide on the people of the region, he too, as an Arab youth, without falling into hesitation, took his place in the Rojava defense forces with a patriotic stance. Through his participation in the war against ISIS, he gained many experiences of specialization. Alongside this, he actively carried out effective actions. Among his comrades he was known for his activism and resistant spirit. Once again, with the Turkish state's occupation attacks on the city of Efrîn, he turned toward the resistance of the age with the desire to block the enemy and joined the war. There too, building on his experiences against ISIS, he conducted an even more active war and struggle against Turkey's occupation. This stance of his within the resistance reveals his national character. Amid so many hardships and difficulties of war, he always preserved his patriotic stance and upheld the values of humanity. For he was aware that the enemy is the enemy and that it keeps itself alive on the blood of millions of people. With this historical understanding, he struggled like a self-sacrificing fighter without bowing his head before the enemy.
Without doubt, within the realities of war there are many moments in which personality matures and is built in all its aspects. However severe and painful the pressures imposed on the peoples of the region have been, they have sprouted again with their fighters and heroes like deeply rooted trees greening from their veins. Young Zinar too, amid the hardship of war, decided to enter the ranks of the guerrilla in order to become a fighter of his people and to struggle worthily and proudly. For he was aware that the occupation attacks were not limited only to Rojavayê Kurdistan. In the same way, policies and attacks against all oppressed peoples, tearing society apart, were present. With this consciousness, taken from Leader APO's ideology, and with an even stronger determination, he turned toward the free mountains of Kurdistan.
Guerrilla Zinar, with the excitement of coming to the mountains, joined life with love like a dervish who had found his will in those mountains. The realities of guerrilla life and the beauties of APOist comradeship by themselves created great excitement in him. He was always curious. In every moment of life, he illuminated his path with his searches for freedom. Alongside this, within the reality of Leader APO, he offered great labor in order to become a sincere militant, bound to his cause, to change himself and rebuild himself anew. This caused him to be loved by all his comrades. Not only this; at the same time, with his experiences of life and war, he became a fitting teacher. Especially with his talent in using all weapons, he moved into mobile teams. There he saw the possibilities through which he could best develop himself in the field of guerrilla professionalism, and he organized himself accordingly. Alongside this, he studied the guerrilla style and the way of fighting against the enemy. He united his anger against the enemy with the aim of taking revenge and built himself in every respect. For that reason, recognizing no obstacle, he turned to all methods of self-construction and developed their alternatives. With the course of the war, when understanding the enemy and the reality of occupation were at stake, preventing the enemy became even more urgent. Guerrilla Zinar also witnessed the savage attacks of the Turkish state during the enemy operations on Avaşîn, Zap, and Metîna. He saw the enemy's brutality with his own eyes in those operations. In particular, the soldiers of the Turkish state set fire to the bodies of their own soldiers and threw them from the rocks without showing them any respect. Without doubt this is a painful reality and shows to what level the war of power brings human beings. In the truth of these brutalities, one sees this concretely. Guerrilla Zinar too, in the face of these practices that were lived and the savage attacks on the tunnels of resistance, turned toward the historic resistance and joined the war with the aim of taking revenge on the enemy.
Guerrilla Zinar Hesekê reached martyrdom in Zap on November 30, 2023, together with his comrades Şahîn Cîlo and Demhat Dirbêsiyê, as a result of the attacks of the Turkish state. That heroic personality stands as a historical legacy that is never defeated. In the person of these heroes of Kurdistan, that spirit of heroism reveals itself and is lived at every time and in every moment. Guerrilla Zinar too is that hero who, with his determined march until martyrdom, fought heroically and reached martyrdom heroically.
