Here, once again, a new day rises toward the land of Kurdistan; here, once again, a new child opens her eyes to the sun of the homeland of lovers, the land of Derwêş and Edûlê.
In the history of the sacred land, a new novel will be written and a new story will be spoken. Once again, a new birth will change history and continue the traces of the Egîds. Truth will show itself with the Zîlans and present its true color in history. In Southern Kurdistan, a brave young woman named Rana Kahtan Alî, who senses the reality of the system and the status of woman in society, distances herself from that system and turns toward the camp of fighters.
Rana Kahtan Alî, with her revolutionary name Arîn Ararat, is born in the ancient city of Şengal, in a patriotic family possessing the ancient Kurdish culture. The movements of the guerrillas in her city and family become the reason for the family's acquaintance with the movement, and Rana grows up alongside the culture of her people while coming to know the culture of revolutionaries.
The story of the firmans carried out on the land of her homeland and the savage attacks committed against her gender make her anger against the system and the enemy stronger and deeper. This feeling of revenge drives her heart and mind toward the search for freedom and revenge.
During the attacks of ISIS gangs on Şengal, HPG and YJA-STAR guerrillas enter the region to protect the people of Şengal, and as a result of an unparalleled resistance and the labor of many self-sacrificing fighters, they liberate the city from the gangs. Rana is still at the beginning of her youth at that time. Before her eyes, on one side, a massacre whose examples are hard to find in history takes place; on the other side, a resistance whose examples are rarely seen also emerges. The pioneers of this resistance are the freedom guerrillas. Rana sees these realities with the light of her own eyes, understands them, and grasps the meaning of resistance. As a witness to this heroism, she is affected by the sacrifice and courage of the guerrillas and, with the desire to take revenge on the enemy, decides to join the revolution. Before her lies the road of honor and liberation. She loads into her bag the hopes of her people and the desire for freedom, and in 2015 she joins the guerrilla ranks from the city of Dihok. As a young woman, she takes her first steps toward liberation. In the guerrilla, Rana takes the name Arîn Ararat. With this name she will become a steel-hearted daughter of her people and a true comrade of Leader Apo.
Guerrilla Arîn receives her basic training in 2015 in the region where she was born and begins practice as an APOist militant. In the training, Arîn strengthens herself even more in the ideology of President Apo, takes the thought and philosophy of the Leadership as her basis, and wants to carry it into her life in a fulfilling way. The new life creates great changes for her. With the ideas of Leader Apo, she understands more deeply the history of her people, her religion and faith, and her ancient culture. With such a beginning, Guerrilla Arîn presents a heartfelt participation. Her curiosity develops in the direction of knowing herself as a young woman and revolutionary. For this reason, she advances herself in every respect and continues her search for answers.
As a freedom guerrilla, Guerrilla Arîn wants to bind up the wounds of her people and become a remedy for them. With unparalleled courage, shoulder to shoulder with her comrades, she joins actions and carries out a strong struggle to protect her people.
For every guerrilla, when they defend their people and rescue them from the hands of occupiers, this becomes a very great victory. A people who have always faced anfal, whose cities have always been plundered by the hands of tyrants, and who have been deprived of a beautiful life, rise again with their fighters and strugglers and build their life even stronger than before. Guerrilla Arîn always strives for this war to end, for ISIS gangs to be completely defeated, so that the people of Şengal too can live a peaceful life. When Guerrilla Arîn sees the strength and will of the people and the fighting spirit of those fighters, the spirit of unity forms within her. Freedom guerrillas from all four parts of Kurdistan turn toward Şengal and rescue the people there from those gangs. This is unity, this is the national spirit, and it defines the Kurdish people's refusal to fall.
In the same year, a difficult war begins in Rojavayê Kurdistan. In Kobanê, gang attacks against the Kurdish people take place, and Kobanê becomes the battlefield for defending the dignity of humanity. This war is waged against Kurdish identity, culture, and language. Guerrilla Arîn does not remain silent in the face of this attack; with the experience she has gained from the results of resistance, she proposes to go to the battlefields and crosses into Rojavayê Kurdistan. In this war, as a leading woman and an APOist militant, she presents a steel stance on the line of Zîlan and Bêrîtan, and she takes her place in that war until the moments of liberation of the city of Kobanê and its people.
As a brave woman, a self-sacrificing militant, and a loyal companion, she becomes a true comrade. For this reason, she always takes as her basis the measures the Leadership has set for life, and she never compromises on these measures.
She successfully plays her role in important stages in Şengal and Rojava, and now she wants to turn toward the free mountains. Mountains are the temples of humanity and have a very precious meaning for the Kurdish people. Especially as a guerrilla, waging the freedom war in these mountains is a very different honor. With these feelings, Guerrilla Arîn crosses into the Medya Defense Areas in November 2019. Her first stop is the Garê area. With great excitement and enthusiasm, she begins her new practice in that region. A proposal is made for her to receive ideological training. Her request is accepted, and that year she enters the Martyr Îbrahîm Academy. After four years of practice in the midst of hot war, joining education is very valuable for her, and she wants to use this opportunity well.
Guerrilla Arîn listens to the training with great desire and wants to know the history written with the labor and will of the Egîds. Through reading Leader APO's books, Guerrilla Arîn becomes even more knowledgeable and instructive. She wants to overcome her deep contradictions. Therefore, when she analyzes her personality and questions herself, she becomes aware of herself and her love for life increases. Guerrilla Arîn's life and struggle begin here. When her searches for freedom grow, she presents a heartfelt participation and becomes one of those heroes who walk in the trace of truth.
From Şengal to resistant Garê, she walks those long roads with the love of building freedom. She fights, resists, and creates truth. With a clear feeling and strong courage, she struggles to bring herself to the level of the fire in the hearts of Ronahî and Bêrîvan. Guerrilla Arîn resists in every moment and in every area so that she can become a shelter and hope for her comrades and her country.
Life in the mountains becomes beautiful with its hardships. When the possibilities of life are few, for the guerrillas of Kurdistan the mountains become, on a spiritual level, a field of self-knowledge and self-awareness. The guerrilla creates possibilities from absence and builds existence. Guerrilla Arîn also draws experience from her difficult practices and prepares herself for every condition and circumstance. She joins life with strength and without interruption. With the spirit of true comradeship, she takes a place in the hearts of her comrades and is remembered.
The year she crosses into the mountains, broad operations are underway; the enemy lives in fear of the guerrillas, afraid that they will strike them heavy blows each time. Therefore, it comes against the guerrillas by every method. It carries out operations against guerrilla areas both on land and with warplanes. The guerrillas too, with their strength and belief, carry out effective actions amid these heavy attacks. Because the guerrilla forces in this area also rise with their operational roles and duties, the enemy begins operations in the area. It surrounds everywhere and bombards the area harshly with all its technology. Amid these heavy attacks, on December 29, 2021, in the Garê region, in the Şehîd Aslan area, she reaches martyrdom as a result of an aerial attack.
Martyr Arîn lived with a self-sacrificing spirit until her last breath and carried out the war of existence. To protect her history, she rose to her duty and acted with sacrifice. As a brave woman, she left a powerful story in these mountains. Guerrilla Arîn took up with sacrifice the legacy she received from the pioneers of the cause of freedom and left it to the future.
