Every journey begins at the opening of a horizon. Every traveler who walks toward free horizons recognizes no obstacle on the road.
Those travelers of freedom are now riders of free dreams; on every path that was forbidden to them, they walked proudly and left their traces on those passages of freedom.
The guerrillas of Kurdistan's freedom, those bound to their cause, fly over ruined summits with great hope toward the horizons. With hope they run toward free memories. On summits whose height reaches the skies, the guerrilla walks step by step toward endless hopes.
Sleep had migrated from their eyes; they do not know what exhaustion is, because they chose the road of freedom and truth. From then on they lived with freedom, with the breath of truth.
She Now Becomes Aware Of The Black Clouds Of Occupation
Eylem Zevkan, that is, Silan Polat, is one of those heroic seekers of freedom who walk toward free horizons. She is a seeker of truth and freedom. She is a piece of the summits of rebirth. With her courage she will crown the road that leads to victory. On those mountains, like Beritan and Zilan, she will turn the dance of goddesses. In Gabar and Zagros she will struggle for revenge. She will not allow the occupation that wants to continue its existence on her sacred land.
Silan Polat was born in the district of Gever, attached to Colemerg. Gever has always led uprisings and resistance. The patriotic people of Gever also have a very important place in the Kurdistan freedom struggle. The patriotic people of Gever are tied to their ancient culture and language; they have always raised their children with the consciousness of occupation and, for the cause of the struggle for existence, have gifted many of their precious children to the country.
Because of her family's patriotism, Silan Polat came to know closely the one-nation and one-language system of the Turkish state. Silan saw the danger facing Kurdish culture and language and was deeply affected. In order to keep Kurdish culture and language alive and make them richer, she joined work and activities. Every day, without stopping, she struggled for Kurdish existence and identity.
With Feelings Of Revenge She Turns Toward The Free Camps
As Silan Polat grew, her searches for life also became deeper. She became more aware of the male-dominated capitalist system. She never accepted this for herself; as time passed, her tolerance ran out. When Silan was still small, her sister joined the guerrilla. At the same time, there were many participants and martyrs in the Polat family. To walk on their path, Silan made the sacred decision to join the ranks of liberation, and in 2013 she turned toward the camps of legends.
Eylem Zevkan is now a guerrilla; she is now a fighter for the freedom of her country. Eylem took her first steps of freedom in Zap, the temple of rebirth. She immediately received the basic training of guerrilla life. In training she saw closely the consciousness of the free woman and the reality of the capitalist system and brought them into awareness. Although Eylem was a new fighter, her militant stance and flowing energy created a great effect on her comrades. The brave woman Eylem made no concessions in training, approached life with a very great love, and developed herself in every respect.
In The Mountains She Carries Out A Struggle Worthy Of The Martyrs
After the training of a new fighter, the young goddess passed into harsh and difficult regions. In her first practice she gained many experiences and became a professional guerrilla of YJA Star. When Eylem saw the heights of the Zagros, her fighting spirit became even stronger, and she always wanted to carry out in those mountains a struggle worthy of Leader APO. With her sacrifice and responsibility she drew the attention of every comrade and became for them an example of labor and intelligence.
In the Zagros, the freedom fighters of Kurdistan, like Kawa the Blacksmith, adorn the fire of Newroz with their war. The enemy that had come with thousands of riders to occupy Zap faced the heroes of Kurdistan's freedom chest to chest. However much the riders of occupation tried to advance, the heroes of freedom struck heavy blows against the occupying enemies and sent the occupiers who had come mounted back on foot.
The warrior woman Eylem gained many experiences in the practice of Zap; she welcomed the difficult and harsh life of Zap with great pride. To develop herself militarily and ideologically, she entered the sniper academy. Eylem was a self-confident woman and did not know what exhaustion was. In order to gain results in training, she was always striving to learn quickly. Eylem completed the training successfully and became an expert sniper and instructor.
In Botan She Carries Out The War Of Honor Like Egid And The Zelals
Botan is the cradle of humanity, Botan is the heart of Kurdistan, Botan is the first place where the guerrillas took steps of honor, Botan is the place of commanders such as Egid, Nuda, Adil, Azime, and the Zelals. For the rebellious and agile woman Eylem, the only path is to avenge the martyrs. With this consciousness, and as Leader APO said, "the women I love should turn their faces to North Kurdistan," Eylem acts, takes this responsibility onto her shoulders, and in 2017 sets out toward Botan on the journey of struggle and freedom.
With great longing, after a long and difficult journey, Eylem reached Botan. With its beauty and resistance, Botan has witnessed many events in history. Botan has led many historical uprisings and achieved many certain victories. On those steep and difficult mountains, magnificent epics were written; for this reason, every passage they walked left precious traces behind. Today hundreds of young women and men walk behind those heroes on those mountains where epics were written. From now on a new process begins for Eylem. This process is the fulfillment of the tasks of the time and the defense of the values of the martyrs. Guerrilla Eylem joins war and life in Botan with very great excitement.
The resistance of Bagok echoed to the four sides of Kurdistan; from Botan to Serhed, from Munzur to Xerzan, from the Zagros to Hewreman. For humanity, for a life of pride and honor, the mountains called to one another; the brave ones of the sacred land became the good news of the march of freedom in colorful valleys and temples. In Gabar, with the hope of freedom, a war of thought and belief was being waged. The fighters of freedom adorned the rightful cause with their resistance. The epic of Gabar's heroism brings death to life, and with its battle it illuminates all Kurdistan like a ray of independence.
They Become The Name Of Resistance
The insurgent woman Eylem fought sometimes as a commander and sometimes as a brave fighter. In Gabar she joined all revolutionary tasks with great desire and struggled with all her strength to answer the process. She never stepped back before the difficult conditions of Botan. The sacrifice she displayed in war was very precious, and in life she displayed the same sacrifice. She was always striving to expel the occupiers from the ancient land of Botan. The struggling woman Eylem, for the defeat of the enemy, was always a creative activist; she joined many actions in Botan and struck heavy blows against the enemy with modern tactics.
On January 3, 2021, in the mountains of Gabar, a war of existence and nonexistence was waged. The enemy wanted to encircle the guerrillas from all four sides. The Botan area shook with the ululations of the revolutionaries; the guerrillas advanced against the enemy with self-sacrificing spirit and a very hard war took place. So that the enemy would not enter their land, they resisted with every kind of sacrifice and answered the occupiers with difficult actions. During the operation, while advancing against the enemy, Eylem fought with four of her comrades until her final breath and reached the rank of martyrdom with self-sacrifice. They became, as four heroes, a very great legacy that will never be forgotten.
