The actions carried out by our forces with the Apoist spirit of sacrifice and high courage continue successfully. As a result of the actions carried out by our guerrilla units in Avaşîn and Zap, using many tactics skillfully; 18 invaders were punished, 4 invaders were injured, 1 attack helicopter was hit, 1 A4 gun emplacement and 2 military tents were destroyed.
The details of the actions taken are as follows;
1. In Avaşîn region;
– The occupiers, who took action in the Werxelê Resistance Area on May 6 at 12:10, were targeted and shot by our forces with the assassination tactic, and 1 invader was punished.
2. In the Zap region;
– On May 5, at 12:00, the invaders who wanted to take positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted with heavy weapons by our forces. The targets determined as a result of the action taken were hit accurately.
– On May 6, between 21:00 and 22:00, two attack helicopters that came over the KDP-controlled areas and attepted to bombard the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted and put under fire from four sides by our forces in a coordinated guerrilla action. As a result of the effective intervention of our forces, 1 attack helicopter was hit and damaged. The helicopters left the area before they could reach Kurojahro.
– On May 6, between 09:00 and 10:30, the invading Turkish army bombarded the battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area with explosives 5 times. Later, the invaders who attepted to advance were targeted and shot by our forces with sabotage tactics. As a result of this action, 2 invaders were punished.
– On May 6, at 15:00, the invaders around the Girê Ortê battle positions in the Karker Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons. On the same day, at 17:50, 3 invaders who wanted to carry out surveillance activities in the area were targeted and shot by our forces. As a result of these actions, 2 invaders were punished and 1 invader was injured.
– In the morning hours of May 6, the invaders around the Girê Şehîd Cûdî of the Karker Resistance Area and Kevirêkun of the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted and shot simultaneously by our forces. On the same day, at 18:40, the invaders were targeted again and simultaneously shot by our mobile guerrilla teams. As a result of these coordinated guerrilla actions carried out by our forces, 2 invaders were punished and 3 invaders were injured.
– On May 7, the invaders in the Şehîd Sahin Resistance Area were put under surveillance by our forces. The invaders were shot by our mobile guerrilla teams at 06:00, using infiltration and raid tactics. First and second action arms; targeted the invaders, shot them at close range and punished 5 invaders. At the same time, another group of invaders who attepted to intervene in the action area was shot at close range by our forces and 2 invaders were punished. Third arm of action; targeted 2 tents and 1 A-4 gun position in which the invaders were located. Here, 4 invaders were punished, 1 A-4 gun and 2 tents belonging to the invaders were destroyed.
As a result of the coordinated action carried out by our mobile guerrilla teams with Apoist militant spirit and high courage, at least 11 invaders were punished and 1 A-4 gun position and 2 military tents were destroyed.
3. The bombardments of the invading Turkish army against the Medya Defence Zones continue. The details of the attacks are as follows:
– On May 6, at 19:00, the slopes of Girê Zengil in the Garê region were bombed with warplanes.
– On May 6, between 18:00 – 22:30, the areas of Karker, Çemço, Geliyê Balinda and Sîda in the Zap region were bombed 5 times with warplanes. On the same day, the Çemço and Sîda areas were bombed with howitzers and heavy weapons fired from the outposts on the border line.
4. As a result of the explosion in the Kanî Masî sub-district of Duhok, a Danish tourist lost his life and another was injured. The explosion site is not an area where our forces are active or moving. Moreover, the guerrillas do not use landmines. We reject any responsibility and demand the initiation of a comprehensive investigation procedure in connection with the incident.
