The courageous resistance of the freedom guerrillas of Kurdistan continues. Our forces carried out actions on May 8 and 9 using many different tactics such as air defense, heavy weapons and close combat.
The Turkish occupation forces, in their helplessness, bombed our resistance areas hundreds of times with howitzers and 41 times with fighter jets, but did not achieve any results. As a result, they have again resorted to cowardly methods and committed war crimes by massively using chemical weapons against our battle positions. Despite the dirty war methods of the Turkish colonial state, our forces continue to deal harsh blows to the occupants. In the actions of our forces, eight occupiers have been punished and nine others wounded. In addition, two camera surveillance systems, one photo trap and one motion detector were destroyed, and one enemy position was damaged.
The details of the actions taken are as follows;
1. In Avaşîn region;
– On May 9, at 12:45 and at 13:30, the invaders attempted to attack the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were hit by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces with individual weapons, the invaders had to retreat one stage. On the same day, at 14:40, the invaders who wanted to attack the war positions with explosives were shot by our forces with heavy weapons and assassination tactics. As a result of these actions, 2 invaders were punished and 5 invaders were injured.
– On May 9, at 16:50, the invaders tried to take position around the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were targeted by our forces and hit with heavy weapons. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one stage. On the same day, 1 camera surveillance system, 1 photo trap and 1 motion sensor placed in the Werxelê Resistance Area by the invading Turkish army were destroyed by our YJA Star forces.
– The Turkish army used chemical weapons against the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area on 9 May.
2. In the Zap region;
– On May 9, between 09:30 and 14:00, the invading Turkish army attempted to advance after heavily bombarding the Şehîd Berxwedan battle positions in the Şehîd Şahin Resistance Area with chemical weapons and explosives. As a result of the intervention of our forces with individual weapons, intense clashes took place and the invaders had to retreat one stage. On the same day, at 16:00, 1 camera surveillance system was destroyed by our forces.
– On May 9, in the morning hours, the invaders who wanted to attack the battle positions in the Şehîd Şahin Resistance Area twice with explosives were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the invaders had to retreat one stage.
– On May 9, at 10:30, the invaders around the battle positions in the Werxelê Resistance Area were hit with heavy weapons by our forces. The number of occupiers punished and injured as a result of this action could not be clarified.
– On May 8, at 12:30, the invaders around the Girê Şehîd Harun battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted by our forces with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.
– On May 9, at 17:40, the invaders around the Girê Şehîd Cûdî battle positions in the Karker Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with the assassination tactic, and 1 invader was punished.
– On May 9, at 12:30, the invaders around the battle positions in the Kurojahro Resistance Area were targeted with heavy weapons by our forces. As a result of this action, 1 position was hit and 1 invader was punished.
3. On May 9, at 16:30, an action was carried out by our Şehîd Delal Air Defence Forces against the invaders in the Kurojahro Resistance Area. The targeted invaders were hit and as a result of the action, 3 invaders were punished while 4 invaders were injured.
4. The Turkish occupying state wants to occupy every place in Kurdistan and exploit all values. Its current goal is to consolidate the occupation and exploitation in the Besta region in Botan by building a military road to the Mêrgûmar area. For this purpose, it uses counter forces and lets them cut down the trees in Mêrgûmar. No one should serve the hostile policy that leads to the occupation and exploitation of Kurdistan. We must refrain from destroying nature in Kurdistan. Counter forces that continue these crimes and serve the enemy become targets for us.
5. The invading Turkish army's bombardments against Medya Defence Zones continue. Between 7 and 10 May, Avaşîn, Metîna and Zap areas were bombed 41 times with warplanes.
The details of the attacks are as follows:
– On 9 May, Gunde Fila, Girê Amiye, Girê FM and Girê Cûdî areas in the Zap region were bombed 12 times with warplanes. On the same day, Girê FM and Girê Cûdî were bombed with howitzers fired from the outposts on the border line.
– On May 9, between 13:45 and 17:00, Girê Hakkarî in the Metîna region was bombed with warplanes 4 times. On the same day, the area was bombed with howitzers fired from the outposts on the border line.
– On May 10, the Werxelê Resistance Area in the Avaşîn region was bombed twice by warplanes.
– On May 7, 8, 9 and 10, Saca, Karker, Ava Zapê environs, Girê Şehîd Fedakar, Şikefta Birîndara and Kurojahro Resistance Areas in the Zap region were bombed 23 times with warplanes. On 8 May, the Çemço area was bombed with howitzers fired from the outposts on the border line.
