The historical resistance of our forces continues in the face of the invasion operation launched by the colonial Turkish army against the Zap and Avaşîn regions. The invading Turkish army continues to commit war crimes by using chemical weapons against our forces, who resisted and fought with the spirit of Apoist sacrifice under the most difficult conditions and were dealt heavy blows to the invaders.
Despite the fact that the invaders bombarded the resistance positions 39 times with chemical weapons and explosives, our forces carried out many effective actions. As a result of these actions, 15 invaders were punished, 1 invader was injured and 1 military tent was destroyed.
The details of the actions carried out by our forces in Zap and Avaşîn in memory of the Martyrs of May in the person of Comrade Haki Karer are as follows;
1. In Avaşîn region;
– On May 17, at 17:00, the invaders, who were carrying out military road work in the Şehîd Dilgêş Area in Mervanos, were hit effectively at close range after they were put under control by our forces. As a result of this action, 2 invaders were punished and 1 invader
was injured.
– On May 18, at 16:45 and 17:00, the invaders who wanted to bombard the Werxelê Resistance Area with chemical weapons were targeted and shot by our forces with heavy weapons and sabotage tactics. As a result of these actions, the invaders had to retreat one step.
– On May 18, between 10:00 and 18:20, the invading Turkish army bombed the Werxelê Resistance Area 22 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
2. In the Zap region;
– On May 18, at 12:30, the invaders who wanted to advance towards the battle positions in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted by our forces with an assassination tactic, and 1 invader was punished as a result of this action. At 13:40, the invaders were re-targeted by our forces and shot at close range with individual weapons. As a result of this action, 4 invaders were punished. On the same day, at 14:30, the invaders who wanted to advance were shot by our forces once again with hand grenades and personal weapons, and 2 invaders were punished. The bodies of the two punished invaders remained under the control of our forces, and the invading Turkish army was able to take only one body in the evening hours.
– On May 19, at 05:10, the invaders who wanted to attack the battle positions in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area with explosives were shot by our forces with individual weapons. As a result of the strikes of our forces, the explosive brought by the invaders was detonated in them and 2 invaders were punished.
– On May 18, at 11:10, the tent belonging to the invaders, located around the Şehîd Berxwedan battle positions in the Şehîd Şahin Resistance Area, was destroyed by shooting and the number of invaders who were punished and injured could not be determined.
– On May 18, at 12:30, the invaders around the Kevirêkûn battle positions in the Şikefta Birîndara Resistance Area were targeted and shot by our forces with individual weapons at close range. As a result of this action, 4 invaders were punished. After the action, two attack helicopters that wanted to bombard the area put under fire by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, the helicopters had to leave the area.
– Attack helicopters that wanted to bombard the Qela Çemço area at night on May 18 came under intense fire by our forces. As a result of the intervention of our forces, attack helicopters had to leave the area.
– On May 18 and 19, the invading Turkish army bombed the war positions in Şikefta Birîndara, Şehîd Berxwedan and Girê Hell Resistance Area 17 times with chemical weapons and explosives.
3. The invading Turkish army bombed the Medya Defence Zones dozens of times with warplanes, attack helicopters and howitzers.
The details of the attacks are as follows:
– On 18 May, howitzers, attack helicopters and 29 warplanes were fired from the outposts in the Girê Amediye, Girê Cûdî, Girê FM, Karker, Girê Ortê, Çiyareş, Kurojahro, Saca, Çemço, Sîda and Girê Rûbar areas of Zap was bombed.
– On May 18, Girê Hakkarî in the Metîna region was bombed twice by warplanes.
– On May 18, the Girê Şekîf slopes of the Xakurkê region were bombed twice with warplanes.
