TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

1. In between 23:00 hours of 20th and 02:00 hours of 21st July, 2010, the Turkish state army bombarded the areas of Xantur and Sesdara/Haftanin/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars. As a result of this bombardment a fire began in the area of Sesdara, which still continues.

2. In between 18:00 hours of 20th and 04:00 hours of 21st July, 2010, the Turkish state army bombarded the areas of Dole Note, the Hill of Seytan, Kartal, triangle of Stune, Basya and Avasin/Zagros/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars. As a result of this bombardment a fire began in the area and still continues.

3. The Turkish state army bombarded the area of Carcela/Zagros/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars, from 21:00 hours of 20th to the morning of 21st of July, 2010.

4. On 20th of July, 2010, at around 16:30 hours, our guerrillas have stopped the vehicles (1 buldozer, 1 truck and a van type vehicle) in the area of Bercelan/Hakkari  belongs to the directorate of the Van administration, which were working on highway construction of the Hakkari-Van Highway. Previously, an announcement made by the guerrillas not to carry such works in the are. As a result, our guerrillas destroyed the vehicles and a second warning made to the drivers of the vehicles not to work in such constructive works, and then released by the guerrillas.

5. On 21st of July, 2010, at around 00:20 hours, our guerrillas carried a sabotage action against the Natural Gaz Pipeline in the area of Dogubeyazit/Agri. The pipe line has been blown up and as a result the comando brigate and the vehicles belongs to the a company constructing the road have also been damaged.

6. On 6th of July, 2010, at night hours, enemy soldiers belongs to the turkish army station in the area of Nudize/Gurpinar/Van, launched a military operation. Ou guerrilla forces carried an action against this enemy soldiers, while they were in the operation, in the area of the village of Ulema. As aresult, four enemy soldiers have been killed by our guerrillas, and the military operation widened and still continues.

7. Our Guerrilla Forces carried an action against the enemy forces during a military operation launched in the area of Ciyaye Bizina and Zeve/Gabar/Sirnak. As a result of this action, two (2) enemy soldiers killed by our guerrillas. After the action, the enemy forces started to bombard the area with obus and mortars. And again, the turkish state army bombarded the areas of Ciyaye Bizina and Gavser/Gabar, with cobra attack helicopters, on 20th of July.

8. On 18th of July, 2010, our guerrillas carried an action against a sivil vehicle carrying enemy soldiers. As a result of this action, the minibus and ten (10) enemy soldiers in the minibus have been destroyed. After this action, the Turkish state army launched a military operation in the area under the support of cobra type attack helicopters and armoured vehicles. The operation still continues.

9. The details of the action carried out by our guerrilla forces in Cukurca are as follow:

On 20th of July, 2010, at around 02:00 hours, as a result of action carried out against the special units in the mobile army station, which placed in between the willages of Bilican and Talisa, of the turkish state army have been completely taken over by our guerrillas. As a result of this action total of thirty-one (31) enemy soldiers killed and 15 pozitions have been destroyed together with weapons belongs to the enemy. In this action, our guerrillas confiscated 2 MG-3, 1 BKC, 4 G-3, 4 thermal camera and 1 walkie-talkie, and 1 BKC 1 A-4, 1 82.5mm mortar, 1 bomb-thrower type weapon, 1 big thermal camera, more than 10 different types of weapon and different types of many military materials have been destroyed by our guerrillas.

During this action, in the same time, our guerrilla forces also carried an action against the Sere Seve Canon Brigate, the Hill of Security, the Bilican Military Base and Eris Brigate as well. During this action, guerrilla forces used heavy weaponary against the enemy positions. The number of soldiers killed and wounded couldn't be able to clerified in this second action.

A third action carried out against the the enemy forces, who came to pick up their soldiers under support of the cobra type attack helicopters, at around 04:00. This action carried out by four wings of our guerrilla forces and as a result the helicopters left the area without getting their soldiers. After the action, turkish state army brought more soldiers from the area of Bilican/ Cukurca and launched a operation in the area, yet faced a resistance of the guerrilla forces. The operation failed as a result of this resistance of the Guerrilla forces and pulled back.

On the same day, in between 13:00-15:00 hours, the turkish state army, bombarded the area with war-planes, obus and mortars. Shelling continued until night hours non-stop. As a result of this bombardment a fire began in the area, which still continues. Time to time shelling also still continues.

As a result of all these clashes, only one (1) of our guerrilla friend named Avares reached to his testimony after a brave resistance. And, weapons taken by our guerrillas.
