On November 23, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the surroundings of Herkî Village in Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district.

On the same day, around 09.30, our forces encountered with a disguised unit of the enemy. The contra unit was effectively hit by our forces in the brief conflict which took place. While two contras were killed as a result of the action which took place, our guerrilla unit has reached the base area securely.
