1. The operation which the occupying Turkish army has launched for the occupation of Southern Kurdistan in Hakkari's Xeregol area of the Çelê (Çukurca) district is underway. The occupying Turkish army has bombed the area with warplanes, howitzers, mortars and tanks intensively in the operation. Our forces are inflicting heavy losses to the enemy against this intensive technique used. In this scope;
On October 16, at 12.00, our guerrilla forces carried out an action targeting enemy forces from two different arms in the region of Şelalê. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in the enemy unit targeted could not be clarified, while one soldier was killed in the other enemy unit.
On October 17 (today), at 07.00, our forces carried out a sabotage action against a unit of the operation on the Kovi ridges in Xeregol area. Nine soldiers were identified killed and six soldiers were wounded in the targeted enemy unit.
Today at 09.00, our guerrilla forces targeted two different operation units in Xeregol and Şelalê in the areas. A total of 9 soldiers were killed in two enemy units hit at close range.
From October 16 to October 17, until the morning hours, the occupying forces bombared the area with warplanes, Cobra-type helicopters and tanks.
2. Within the scope of the second phase of the Martyr Bedran Gundikremo and Martyr Nalin Muş revolutionary campaign, on October 16, our forces carried out actions against the occupying Turkish army in Hakkari's Çelê (Çukurca) and Gever (Yüksekova) districts.
At 11.00, our guerrillas organized an action against the occupying forces positioned on the Bayê hill in the Gever. One soldier was killed in the action, where enemy positions and accommodation was targeted. After the action, the occupying forces bombarded the field with howitzers and mortars, and the dead soldiers were removed from the scene with Sikorsky helicopters.
At 12.00 and 16.30, our forces carried out two actions targeting the enemy positions on the Koordine hill of Çelê. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in the action in which the positions of the enemy were hit effectively.
3. On October 11, the occupying Turkish army had launched an operation in Gırê Rıjdê and Gırê Mêşê areas of Qileban (Uludere) district of Şırnak. The operation withdrew from the area without any results on October 15.
