TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

The clashes in between the HPG (Peoples Defence Forces) and the Turkish state armed forces have been intensified as our leader’ declaration of putting himself aside after 31^st of May, 2010, and, our Kurdish Freedom Movement’ decisions of both to call an end to unilateral non-action period and to start mid-intensified active defence war. As a result, the news of the actions and clashes of our guerrillas began to come from Blacksea to Amanos and from Dersim to Serhat on daily basis. Our efforts and insistency to be able to give a chance to solve the Kurdish question through peacefull and democratic ways has been evaluated by the Turkish state and many other parties as a ‘weakness’ and ‘the HPG can not fight anymore’. However, our Guerrilla Forces clearl showed with their actions that this is not the case.

We publicly made a declaration in regarding to our decision on Mid-intensified war on 1^st of June, 2010. We have had already given out the balance sheet of the first quarter of the month of June,2010.

Military materials confiscated: 12 HK-33 type weapon, 3 G3 type weapon, 1 night-vision binoculers, 3 MG3, 1 Laser, 4 Thermal Camera.

Number of obus and mortars attack: 52 (Haftanin 34, Zap 15, Metina 1, Xakurke 1)

Number of Air-raids: 4 (Xakurke 1, Zagros 1, Cudi 1, Zap 1)

Number of Martered Guerrillas: 25
