To The Press And Publıc!

As you all aware, on 1st of June, 2010, we have publicly anounced that we have ended ' the unilateral non-action period', which was anounced on 13th of April,2009,  in order to find a political solution to the Kurdish issue other than violant and military methods.

During this period, unfortunately, some circles claimed that the HPG's declaration of a 'Non-Action Period' as a 'weakness of the HPG', which did not reflect the reality at all. In many occasions, we said that the 'Unilateral Non-action Period' had declared in order to give chance to open a way for a democratic, peacefull and political solution of the Kurdish issue. The Turkish state and its AKP government have taken this period as a 'weakness' and as a 'chance' to increase their destructive attacks.  As a result of this approach, the military operations aiming to destroy ou guerrilla forces have been increased. The legal elected political representatives of the Kurdish people have been arrested with no reasons, as a part of Political Genocide of the Kurdish people. Thousands of our Children faced arrest and torture. Every each of the democratic civil demonstrations made by our people faced violance by the state. Beacuse of all these practical approaches of the Turkish state and its AKP government, we, as a HPG, could no longer continue the 'the unilateral Non-Action Period' that we have had declared. The period became meaningless to be continue. As a result of this destructive and violant approach of the state and its AKP government, on 1st of June, 2010, we have sahared our opinion with the public that we will start a mid-intensify war. Since 1st of June, 2010, despite there is an increase in the numbers of clashes and military operations, our guerrilas have been carried out 23 actions.

 

The Result of the Balance Sheet of the War in Between 1-14th of June is as Follow:

The number of action carried by the Guerrillas: 23

Military operations carried out by the Enemy: 21

The number of clashes occurred: 5

The number of mortar and obus attack carried by the enemy: 31 (21 in Haftanin, 8 in Zap, 1 in Metina, 1 in Sirnak)

The number of military vehicles destroyed: 10 ( 6 armored vehicles, 2 vehicles belongs to the special teams, 1 military truck, 1 tank)

The number of Military Vehicles Damaged: 4 (1 Scorscy type military helicopter, 2 Panzer, 1 Tank)

The number of military materials Confiscated: 9 hybrid type of weapons, 1 G3, 1 Lazer, 2 Thermal Camera)

The number of soldiers killed: 48

The number of Guerrillas Martered: 12
