TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1. On 2nd of April, 2010, in the morning hour of 05:00am, the Turkish state army started a bombardment against the area of Govende/ Zagros/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars. This attacks are still continuing.
2. On 2nd of April, 2010, in between the hours of 05:00-07:30am, the Turkish state army bombarded the area of Ciyares/Zagros/the Medya Defence Areas with obus and mortars.
3. On the 1st of April, 2010, in between the hours of 20:00-21:00pm, the Turkish state army bombarded the Hill of Heliz and surrounding areas/Haftanin/the Medya Defence Areas with obus and mortars.
4. On 1st of April, 2010, in between the hours of 08:00-10:00am, the Turkish state army bombarded the village of Haftanin and, areas of Kuranis and Deriye Davete/Haftanin/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars.
5. On 31th of March, 2010, in the night hour of 19:00pm, a contact occurred between our guerrillas and the Specialy Trained Teams belongs to the Turkish state army where they were attempting to cross the border into Iraq through the areas of Hantepe (Xane) – Isikli (Eris) – Cevizli (Guzeres)/Cukurca/Hakkari . The clash lasted for an hour and as a result large number of troops have been killed by the guerrillas, and the military units who wanted to cross the border line was pushed back. The number of enemy soldiers killed and/or wounded couldn’t be clear.
After the clash, from 20:30pm till morning, the Turkish state army intensively bombarded the villages of Erbis, Guze and Helale and, as well as the areas of Siva Hespa and Sifreza, where these areas and the villages are near the borderline,/Zap/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars. Also, the area, where the combat occurred, has been intensively bombarded both air and land.
While the military operation, which started on 1st of April, still continous in the areas of Maruka Sirti, the Hill of Hakan and Guvenlik, and the area of Bilican. During these operations and combats our guerrillas have not given any losses.
The Special Warfare Medya belongs to the Turkish Republic have had published that 5 of our comrade been martyred. This is nothing to the with the reality. The public should not believe in such news.
