TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1- According to a report given by the press that a clash occurred during a military operation launched by the Turkish state army there has been a clash occurred in the area of Cemce/Kagizman/Kars. The part of the report in regarding to a clash in between our guerrillas and the operational forces of the enemy is not correct.
In that area and given time by the report there hasn't been any clashes occurred in between our guerrillas and the Turkish state army.
2- On 11 May, our guerrillas carried out an action against the policemen guarding the Police Houses in the district of Silopi/Sirnak in retaliation of the lateast oppression carried out against the civilians by the Police Forces. As a result of the action, while 2 policemen killed and another one wounded by our guerrillas. Afterwords of the action, on 12 May, the Turkish state army launched a military operation in the areas of the City Center of Silopi, Bane Semka, Germike and Bogaza Zevka. The operation in the area still continues.
3- On 10 May, the Turkish state army launched a military operation with ambushes in the areas of Kal Hasan, the Villages of Kulu and Ineka on the skirts of the Mnt. Ararat. The operation in the area still continues.
4- On 12 May in between 09:00-10:00 hours, the Turkish state army carried obus and mortar attack on the area of Mahir Mirzo/Zap/the Medyqa Defence Areas.
5- We have had already publicised the information in regarding to the retaliation action carried out against a police vehicle on the Highway of Kastamonu-Cankiri by our guerrillas on 4 May at around 17:45 hours, and as a result 1 policeman killed and other one wounded. Aftermath of the action, one element code named Harun (Celal Bozkurt) has escaped and he is giving informations and as well as participating to support the continuing operation which extended to the neighbouring cities as well. The enemy forces continuing their operation in Kastomonu and neighbouring cities by given information by this element.
