TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1-Our guerrillas, who still keeps the control of the area, carried out different type of action within the framework of second phase of the Revolutionary Operation, which began in the rural areas of the district of Cukurca/Hakkari, on 4 August. These actions are as follows;
On 9 August, our guerrillas carried out three separate actions on the enemy military bases. At 11:00 hour, the Karatas military station; at 13:00 hour, the Eris Battalion; and, at 15:00 hour, Sere Seve Battalion, in the district of Cukurca. All the targets have been effectively hit by our guerrillas. The number of killed and wounded enemy soldiers couldn’t be clerified as a result of these actions.
In these areas, enemy forces do not have any activities. Yet, the occupier forces of Turkish state army carried out obus and mortar attacks on the areas of Xeregol, Ciyaye Res and Mahir Mirzo; the Hill of Angola; and, the Village of Spindaroke/Seladize/Zap/the Medya Defence Areas. As a result of these bombardments, bush fires began in the Village of Spindaroke and the Hill of Angola, which still continues.
2-On 9 August at around 18:00 hour, our guerrillas carried on an action against a enemy military convoye made of a 3 military vehicles on Road of Mardin-Amed, while they were carrying out a military operation in the area. As a result, 1 reo type enemy military vehicle completely destroyed and 1 mount-deer type military vehicle damaged, yet the number of killed and wounded enemy soldiers couldn’t be able to clerified. Information given by the Turkish medya in regarding to this action as our guerrillas carried out a Road Control action in that area do not reflects the reality. It has been clerified that enemy forces closed the Road for traffic so that the destroyed military vehicle can not be seen by the travellers on the road.
3-On 9 August at around 18:30 hour, clashes occurred in between our guerrillas and soldiers of the occupier Turkish state army, nearby the Meymun military base in the district of Uludere/Sirnak. As a result of clashes, 1 enemy soldier killed.
4-In the morning hours of 10 August, the occupier forces of Turkish state army launched a military operation in terms of search and ambushes in the areas of Yasak, Zarik, Isikvuran and Mankurek, in the district of Ovacik/Dersim.
