TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
1. On 11th of July, 2010, at around 18:30 hours, our YJA-STAR Guerrilla Forces carried an action against a military vehicle in between the Xerxol army station and the Hill where the enemy secures the army station. During the action, the enemy forces on the Hill also responded to ur Guerrilla Forces and as a result our guerrillas also hit the positions of the enemy on this Hill as well. We couldn’t be able to clarify the numbers of enemy soldiers killed or wounded. After the action, the Turkish state army bombarded the area with heavy weapon and cobra type attack helicopters.
2. On 11th of July, 2010, in between 15:00-18:30 hours, the Turkish state army bombarded the areas of Sesdara, Mergesise, K aniseve, Alanis and, the Hills of Ava Guze and Lawike Xerip/Haftanin/the Medya Defence Areas, with obus and mortars. As a result of this bombardment of the enemy forces the area have been set on fire, which is still continues.
3. On 10th of July,at around 12:00 hours, our Guerrilla Forces carried an action against a unit of JITEM members, whome went to the Hill of the village of Xumare/Catak/Van for the purpose of a search. As a result of this action, four (4) members of the JITEM killed by our Guerrilla Forces.
4. On 10th of July, 2010, the Turkish state army launched a military operation against the Hills of Ciyaye Cina, Gunde Ciyaye Lode and Pivaz/Misare/Eruh/Siirt. The military operation pulled back on 11th of July, with no result.
5. On the night of 10th of July, 2010, our Guerrillas carried a sabotage action against a petrol station in Cukurca/Hakkari, which belongs to Lokman Ozek and works together with enemy soldiers. As a result of this sabotage action, petrol station have been damaged.
6. On 8th of July, 2010, our guerrillas confiscated a vehicle belongs to the workers of AKP in Varto/Mus. On the same day, at 20:00 hours, an action have been planned by our guerrillas against the Police HQ. in Varto. Yet, the plan has not been carried out because at the time of planned action there were children with the policeman at the entrance of the HQ. At 20:25, our Guerrilla Forces carried an action against the policeman in front of the HQ. As a result of this action, one (1) policemen killed and three (3) others wounded by our Guerrillas. After the action, the policeman shoot fire surrounding areas of both Varto Central and the Police HQ. all night. After the action, an operation carried out in surrounding area of City center.
