The warplanes belonging to the Turkish army carried out intensive bombardment on the Medya Defense Zones of Qandil, Xakurke, Metina, Zap and Avashin regions on March 24th.
Details of the bombardments and evolving activites where many civilian settlements have been damaged are as follows;
1. On March 24, at 11:20 am, our forces carried out an assassination attempt against the soldiers in Hakkari's Gırê police station in the Çukurca district. One soldier was killed in this action.
2. On March 22, at 12:00 pm, our forces carried out an assassination attempt against the soldiers positioned at the Serêkani station's hill in Ağrı's Bazid (Dogubeyazit) district and one soldier was killed here.
3. Warplanes bombarded the areas of Çemço, Ciloyê Piçuk and Şıkefta Birindara of the Zap region of our Medya Defense Zones on March 24, between 09:00, 15:00 and 18:00 to 19:00.
- On March 24, between 11.00 - 11.30 and between 15.00 and 15.30, warplanes bombed Martyr Faraşin hill and the Mamreşo area of the Avashin area. Between 17:00 and 19:00 again, warplanes bombarded Geliyê Avashin.
- On March 24, between 17:30 and 18:00, warplanes bombarded the area of Dola Bedrana and Dêreşê village of the Qandil region. At the end of the bombardment the houses of the villagers were damaged.
- On March 24, at 18.30, the warplanes bombed the area of the Kanireşu of the Xakurke area.
- Between 20:00 and 20:30 on March 24, warplanes bombed around the village of Bazê of the Metina area. As a result of the bombardment, the houses, the vineyards and the gardens of the local people were damaged.
